🚨🎙️| Zlatan Ibrahimović:
🗣️“After watching this tournament and today’s 2-2 draw, I have to say I was impressed. I don’t think African football gets the recognition it deserves. The quality, intensity, and confidence these teams play with is incredible.”
“People always talk about Europe and South America, but Africa belongs in that conversation too. If you’re still underestimating African football, you’re simply not watching the games.”
I’m speechless. In awe. A little bit lost for words…
First of, Cape Verde — you are simply the story of the World Cup. Them getting out of this group, going undefeated with Uruguay AND Spain, would be one of the greatest underdog stories in World Cup history.
All my friends have something I admire about them. The hustle, style, the way they move, beauty, intelligence and more. It's so important to have people around you that motivates you in some kind of way.

Australia is incredible. Love it when we support the Socceroos and our country like this.
benching your two goal scorers from the previous game to go defensive and conceding in the 11th minute anyway is nasty work.
no one overthinks things like soccer managers. horrible start for australia, so disappointing.
Socceroos knockout scenarios (basically, 'get a point')
3 points: Can advance as 3rd-placer but need tiebreakers (better if Paraguay def Türkiye) & other groups not providing good 3rd-placers
4 points: Almost guaranteed to advance & finish 2nd in Group D unless Türkiye gets to 6 pts
6 points: Finish 2nd
Finish 2nd: Face Group G runner-up (Belgium, NZ, Iran, Egypt) in Dallas, 4am Saturday July 4
Finish 3rd: Likely face Group E winner (Germany or Ivory Coast) in Boston, 6:30am Tuesday June 30
