Indiana’s SB202 carries on a tradition of seeking to silence those who speak out against racial injustice.
@GovHolcomb, the AAUP urges you to #VETOSB202.

Tim Doty from @LifeAtPurdue got a few things wrong...it was a report, we collected data from many faculty, and I'm a University Senator and no, none of these issues were addressed extensively with the Senate.

another op-ed from Deery claiming that faculty are misinformed about SB 202. no one is misinformed!
But now he's shifted to saying that "crosstabs" indicate something in a data set that is publicly unavailable.
I'd get laughed out of peer review if I tried that.
saying something over and over again doesn't make it true.
it's not good *academic* practice to cite something that no one can verify.
we deserve a @PurdueResFound that supports faculty

Indiana’s SB 202 is a dangerous, disingenuous culture war inspired bill that gives a green light to pit students against teachers & undermine academic freedom & high quality higher education in Indiana. @GovHolcomb, preserve your exceptional higher education system, #VetoSB202.
We urge @GovHolcomb to Veto SB202. Because: This bill will damage higher education in Indiana, represents a clear case of government overreach, and will drive good faculty as well as research money away from the state. @AAUPPurdue@AAUP@BallState
when your policies are terrible, you ban the organizations and departments and groups that call out how terrible you are. it's part of the conservative playbook.
States like FL and IN are afraid of DEI because it challenges the white, patriarchal norm (see: conservative state takes on reproductive health).
FL and IN want censorship. not intellectual diversity.

conservative students aren't going into higher education because of their possible professors, they aren't going because conservatives lie about it all the time. IN goes not care about higher edu. they'd fund it more if they did.

We are not surprised that SB 202 has passed. And the university propaganda email "Purdue Reaffirmation of Academic Freedom and Faculty Tenure" does not make us feel safer or secure in our jobs.
Higher education remains under attack and our only line of defense is organizing.
Full solidarity with @AAUPPurdue and faculty throughout the state. We are organized and will continue to fight to #StopSB202. Help by calling Gov. Holcomb and tell him you want him to veto this bill! https://t.co/IQo0fL4mi6

The fifth annual Mental Health Action week is underway on @LifeAtPurdue’s campus. Set for Feb. 26-March 1, the week will feature a series of well-being activities, food, fun and programs highlighting resources available to students. https://t.co/CMIKJuPJ74
It's well-known that #SB202 is a partisan-political bill being pushed through by one party super-majority. Here then is a view from the other party: @BallState@AAUPPurdue
AAUP members are leaving nothing on the table in the fight to #StopSB202, a bill that would be wholly disastrous for students, faculty, & the future of Indiana higher education.

ACLS endorses @AHAhistorians' letter to the Indiana House Education Committee opposing an “Intellectual Diversity” Tenure Bill.
We encourage members of our community, particularly those in Indiana, to write to their representatives opposing the bill. https://t.co/tjXbazNZuN
"We urge admin to provide an environment in which no voices are silenced, no ideas are suppressed, & the most deeply held beliefs are subject to challenge."
