Honestly? Eggs, but not for the reason this infographic wants you to pick.

That “52g protein” is dry soya chunks. Once you soak them they triple in weight and you’re chewing through a wet sponge to hit that protein count. Eggs are weighed as eaten. You’re comparing a dehydrated food to a ready to eat one.

Also egg protein is the gold standard for absorption. Soy is good, but antinutrients eat into that 52g before your muscles ever see it. Grams on paper is usually never grams that count unless you are dealing with animal protein.

And “0.5g fat = win” is just circa 1980s anti-fat panic. The yolk’s fat is where the vitamin D, B12 (not available from plant sources) and choline are present.

Soy chunks are great source of cheap protein, and it’s also perfect for those that choose not to eat eggs for religious or vegan reasons. But for anyone that eats both, the choice is obvious

At a time when the US military has proved itself (yet again) to be an international aggressor that has no respect for international law, there is little sense in getting confused over the nomenclature the American establishment uses for its various arms and commands.

The name of one of the military’s commands— INDOPACOM —has reverted to what it was earlier, i.e. PACOM, and the primary reason is that the White House is no longer interested in flattering the egos of India’s political, diplomatic and military leaders, nor indeed its thinktankwallahs.

The phony construct—the Indo-Pacific—was designed to provide a shallow geopolitical rationale for India to throw in its lot with the US on issues Washington considered important—especially ganging up against China on the maritime and eventually geoeconomic, trade and tech fronts.

India’s leaders were flattered by this nomenclature and started believing the US and India were partners, a ridiculous assumption given India’s national interests and the US tendency to take a wrecking ball to those interests, especially in the wider region to the west of India.

Just as Trump’s rebranding of the Department of Defense as the Department of War was an act of honesty, the reversion to PACOM should open the eyes of those (like @narendramodi and @DrSJaishankar) who still swear by the “strategic partnership” and put up with every kind of insult, attack, ignominy Washington dishes out.
