I write about efficient distributed systems, effective engineering teams, making IoT data useful. Managed data platforms & analytics @Tesla. My views are mine.
After 8 years of life-defining experience founding, leading, and managing IoT Data Platforms & Analytics @Tesla, I am moving on. I am super proud of what our lean team has achieved, and I am confident that even more impressive results lie ahead for them, given the highest caliber of engineers and leadership.
It was a true privilege to work alongside incredibly talented, hardworking engineers and leaders who make a huge positive difference on a planetary scale. I am forever grateful for your trust, support, and deeply indebted for all I've learned from you.
And now.. onto the next big thing.
Having witnessed his incredible talent at Tesla, I'm stoked to see @thorgutierrez take on climate change head-on! With his ability to push the limits to rapidly innovate & building stellar teams, I'm thrilled about the future ahead of @SironaTechCDR#ClimateTech#DirectAirCapture
🚀 Former Tesla engineer leads Belgium's first DAC technology climate tech startup Sirona Technologies
We're very excited to announce we've raised $1M in pre-seed funding to build direct air capture machines!

@GergelyOrosz It’s always great to discuss a major migration execution with candidates for senior engineering roles. In fact, more useful than talking about the new system’s features or implementation.
@GergelyOrosz Sr staff: now that it works and I understand the problem better, let me try throw away most pieces of my solution that’s just needless complexity
@brent_bellamy Did they just remove all the trees on quite a few streets between 1959 and 1972? Or, I hope, the 1972 photo is done in winter when trees are not visible well without their leaves?
@rakyll My early 20s were in a non-developed country at a company that sell your hours to support outsourced projects. Thinking about the head start advantage of western students who intern at big tech was painful.
But it has not destroyed my career. Never thought it would. Keep growing.
“In the day and age of always-on, you-build-it-you-run-it software services, where teams are responsible around the clock, often without additional compensation, forcing a team to deliver low quality is unethical.” by @breckcs https://t.co/oBSLcTfUS0
