Let that sink in. Three hundred individuals trained to the highest level of human knowledge production, not by chance, not by charity, but by deliberate public policy.

People struggle to grasp how monumental this is because the name attached to it is Kwankwaso. Strip away the politics, the biases, the noise, and what remains is an achievement that borders on unprecedented in Nigeria’s political history.

No Nigerian politician can genuinely boast of producing an army of PhD holders through state-backed scholarships at this scale. None. This is not road construction or photo-op empowerment; this is long-term investment in brains, institutions, and generational capacity.

Whether applauded or ignored, the record stands. Long after today’s propaganda fades, these 300 PhDs will still be teaching, researching, innovating, and shaping society.

Kwankwaso didn’t just govern, he engineered intellect. In a country where leaders think in election cycles, this was thinking in decades.

History will be far kinder to this decision than the present is. Kwankwaso outdid himself.
