GOVERNANCE ALERT

Governor @dikko_radda engaged global leaders in Paris in a panel themed “Meeting Africa’s Energy Challenges: What Sustainable Solutions”

During the panel, he highlighted that:

-Katsina has successfully secured the concession of the 10MW Lambar Rimi Wind Mill from Federal Government and already approved the hybridization of the power plant with another complementary 10MW Solar Power Plant for sustainability.

-KEDCO has also assured the gathering of their readiness to offtake the power from the plant for onward distribution to customers especially in industrial and economic areas.

-He also highlighted the state’s ongoing transition to clean energy citing the recent commissioning of a 1MW Solar Power Plant each at the State Secretariat and Government House, 300KW Power Plant at the General Hospital as well as other Solar Systems at various government establishments.

-The gathering was convinced of the state’s efforts in delivering clean energy and pledged to support the efforts through collaborations and partnerships.
