I feel like schools need to be more robust in not being the cure-all for all societal challenges. Expectations seem to have risen way beyond education, what we all have trained in.We can be a hub, we can signpost to other agencies, we can support, but we can't fix everything.
It's almost here! Our cast has been working hard to bring you our Spring musical!
Please join us for our @MonaviewES family performance on Tuesday, May 31st at 4 PM.

Please turn off the news in front of your young children. Answer questions in a simple, developmentally-minded manner. Reassure your children that they are safe with you. Reach out to mental health professionals for intense or lingering distress. We are here to help.
"#RestorativeJustice won't bring these lives back, & it's not a panacea that solves ALL systemic injustices, BUT creating capacity to build & maintain relationships rooted in equity & trust WILL help us prevent SOME harm from happening, & gives us ways to heal when harm occurs."
What happened yesterday in Texas was a senseless tragedy. I don't have all the answers, but want to share what was discussed during a training with @amplifyrj and @drcastroharris last night:
