The same people who cut pediatric cancer research on their "waste, fraud, and abuse" crusade apparently have a blank check for a war they can't even explain.
A mother and daughter in Kentucky have rejected multimillion-dollar offers for their land, offers made by an anonymous tech company trying to build a data center.
Ida Huddleston has turned down $4,260,000.
Her daughter turned down $22,224,000.

Kristi Noem spent $220 MILLION on a 60-second ad.
Pete Hegseth spent $93 BILLION in one month.
Trump just gave four Big Tech companies a $51 BILLION tax break.
And you’re worried about a single mom getting a few bucks from SNAP to feed her kids?
Wake up, people.
Hundreds of people are dead. Little girls are dead. Six Americans are dead. Others are risking their lives. Millions across the Middle East are terrified.
It's not a video game. It's not a meme. It's not another chance to troll the libs. It's fucking war.
Beware of any Christian movement that demands the government be an instrument of God's wrath but never a source of God's charity, mercy, or compassion.
This war is costing a billion dollars a day. In one fucking month we will spend more over there than we needed to save healthcare for more than 2 million Americans. They literally are taking away your food and your healthcare for this regime change war of choice.
Last Friday, a handful of people made big, unusual $100,000+ bets on Polymarket - that the U.S. would strike Iran the next day.
The Iran War is fueling a new kind of corruption: White House officials secretly profiting off war.
It's disgusting. We need to ban it.
Neguse: Where is this company headquartered?
Noem: I don’t know.
Neguse: I don’t know either. We can’t find it. We did find an address that’s registered to a political operative. This company that received 143 million dollars was incorporated 8 days before this contract went out.
You want the American people to believe that this is all above board, that $143 million of taxpayer money just happened to go to this one company that doesn't have a headquarters, doesn't have a website, has never done work for the federal government before and is registered apparently or attached to a residence from a political operative, and of course one of the subcontractors of that contract, as you know, is a political firm that's tied to, to you back when you were governor of South Dakota?
Bayer is a pharmaceutical company.
Monsanto is a pesticide company.
Bayer bought Monsanto.
Bayer makes drugs for Non-Hodgkin lymphoma.
Monsanto makes a toxic herbicide called glyphosate to spray on food crops.
Glyphosate causes Non-Hodgkin lymphoma.
Full circle
Thomas Massie just declared: “This government is under siege.”
And he exposed Susie Wiles and Pam Bondi for taking “millions of dollars from Bayer.”
“All three branches of this government are under siege by lobbyists and lawyers from a German company named Bayer.”
“They spent over $9 million lobbying … so that they don’t have to be liable for any damages their herbicide Roundup causes.”
“The Constitution guarantees people a trial if they’ve been harmed.”
“Why are we contemplating going against the Constitution?”
“The Attorney General has opined favorably for this German company in front of the Supreme Court about getting rid of any liability that they should have for any damages.”
“By the way, the President’s Chief of Staff and the President’s Attorney General worked for one of the biggest lobbying firms that’s received millions of dollars from Bayer.”
“Maybe that’s why we’ve seen an executive order that says that the production of this chemical from this German company is a national defense priority.”
“And we know why they’re doing that.”
“It’s to keep them from having any liability.”
“This is wrong.”
“We shouldn’t succumb to the lobbyists, not in the executive branch, not in the judicial branch, and certainly not here in Congress.”

The chief law enforcement officer of the US government shouting indignantly about how she shouldn’t have to answer questions about a massive human trafficking scandal as long as the stock market is doing well is crazy. But it does explain how we got here as a society.
