@halseanderson Today a student came to me after reading Speak for our student-led book club. After some brave sharing said:"I feel like this book came into my life for a reason, you know?". I know, kiddo.I soooo know. #librarianlife #bestjobever #booksareeverything #bannedbooks

So we are currently debating a bill that would allow deer hunting in all 99 counties in Iowa with an AR-15. As an avid hunter this is scary and dangerous. SF 581 is bad for Iowa and dangerous for responsible Iowa hunters. #ialegis

Eva Mireles and Irma Garcia were two of the greatest teachers Uvalde, TX has ever known. Their classroom was full of fun, growth, giggles, teamwork, and, most of all, love. Their legacy will live in the hearts of our community forever. #uvaldestrong

@PatentAssassin @YtNextgengaming My son painted our neighbor's porch and sold his PS4 to be able to buy his own. I'm a school teacher who stayed up all night to help him with the Target drop that finally happened at 6 a.m. Then I got dressed and came to work. Just sayin'. 😉

So awesome to hear @StudioJJK speak this morning. “It’s difficult to have conversations with people who think that difficult truths are inappropriate...these are well meaning adults...they just aren’t right.” #gatekeepers #AASL2019

The adventures of #threelibrarians! What a great day in Louisville yesterday with an amazing kick off keynote speaker, Ellen Oh, author and founder of WeNeedDiverseBooks.#AASL2019

[Abby Hendrickson @abbyhendrickson]

Our amazing keynote today, Adolph Brown III spoke with us today about “not judging books by their covers” or buying into stereotypes. His “brother under cover” entrance onto the stage was crazy powerful and had us all check our own stereotypes at the door. #AASL2019

[Abby Hendrickson @abbyhendrickson]

Listening to Ellen Oh talk about the need for diverse books. What an awesome opening keynote for #AASL2019! #wndb #WeNeedDiverseBooks
