What a wonderful reminder of the importance of #reading to our children, not just for this life, but for our eternal life as well. (Shared with permission from the author via Facebook.) #welsed
I know I need to work on my mental and physical wellness…but I don’t have the mental or physical energy to do so. I can’t keep this up for long. #educatorburnout
Don’t get me wrong, as a Christian who believes life is a gift from God, I’m thankful for today. But you cannot legislate morality. Abortions will still happen.
The Church must continue to boldly and lovingly proclaim Law and Gospel, which alone can change hearts. #RoeVWade
We spend millions to implement research based practices. BUT, we ignore the extensive research that shows how play, recess, & physical activity, can improve focus, self regulation, and on task behavior, as well as academic achievement, interpersonal skills & mental health.
Need help remembering to breathe tonight. So overwhelmed in this 1st week back to school, personal needs/chores feel too taxing to get done, people are already calling for enrollment in the fall (yay! but more on the to-do list). #shortstaffed#directorlife#needmoretimeandenergy
@RPiersonEdu Wish I had any energy or desire to do any professional development right now. I’m so bogged down in admin and tours and figuring out how many more students we can take and begging my board to let me find more staff…
Teacher tired happens when the kids are back in class; administrator tired happens when the staff is back on campus and parents are enrolling last-minute. #backtoschool 😴
Every day seems like a rush with all there is to do.
But you won’t regret making time to...
1. Listen to your students
2. Laugh with your students
3. Encourage your students
4. Enjoy your students
5. Celebrate your students
6. Learn more about your students
