A few incredible days at #CCCES26. Deep dives on bleeding & coagulopathy in the CICU, cardiogenic shock, PE, plus hands-on skills.
Happy to have met colleagues and educators interested in this field.
Thank you @AndreaElliottUM and @UMN_CCCEdSummit for an outstanding summit. 🫀
Just completed the ACGME Leadership Training Program for Chief Residents in Chicago. Great few days learning about leadership, communication, wellness, and program improvement alongside chiefs from across the country. Grateful for the opportunity and excited for the upcoming year
Excited to share our new review on atrial fibrillation after hematopoietic stem cell transplant.
We highlight incidence, risk factors, management challenges, and the need for HSCT-specific AF risk tools.

MCS selection should not be driven by trial headlines alone. Understanding the differences between RCT populations and the patient in front of you is key to choosing the right platform.
Great first day of the Annual Critical Care Cardiology Virtual Summit!
Excellent educational sessions and a fantastic debate on norepinephrine vs epinephrine in cardiogenic shock. Looking forward to the upcoming sessions!

Etiology matters. The SHARC framework helps phenotype CS into AMI-CS, HF-CS, secondary CS from non-myocardial causes such as VT, valvular or pericardial disease, and post-cardiotomy CS.
Grateful and humbled to have won the case presentation session.
Thank you to Dr. Velarde for leading such an excellent symposium, truly a great experience and learned alot from the outstanding presenters 🙏 @ggvela
Congrats to Dr. Abdallah Rayyan on winning the case presentation session at the Women’s Cardiovascular Disease Symposium!
Outstanding work on a complex ISR case in Takayasu arteritis 👏

Check our latest study showing that in MI patients with LVEF >40%:
• No mortality benefit with β-blockers
• No ↓ arrhythmia or revascularization
• Signal toward ↓recurrent MI
• Signal toward ↓new HF

Sharing our work in Heart Rhythm O2 comparing catheter ablation vs antiarrhythmic drugs in patients with HCM and persistent atrial fibrillation:
• Lower 12-months mortality and better survival
• Fewer CHF exacerbations & hospitalizations
👀 What’s the best rhythm strategy in HCM with persistent AF?
Published in @HRS_O2Journal this study shows catheter ablation is superior to AADs:
✨ Lower 12-mo mortality
✨ Fewer CHF exacerbation & hospitalizations
✨ Better survival (98.8% vs 96.5%)
