The ICC report published by TheCable revealed how President Buhari blocked Malami several times after the former Attorney-General had supplied him with incorrect information while seeking presidential approval. Buhari reportedly refused to grant presidential approval on several occasions.

One needs to be very careful about the kind of aides he appoints. Many of them may not always act in the best interests of the nation. They may be more concerned with protecting their own interests, albeit at the expense of the entire country.

That a sitting Attorney-General could allegedly stoop so low as to shortchange his own nation speaks volumes about the mentality some people in positions of power have towards the country.
