কুয়েতের পররাষ্ট্রমন্ত্রী শেখ জারাহ জাবের আল আহমেদ আল সাবাহ, বাহরাইনের পররাষ্ট্রমন্ত্রী ড. আব্দুললতিফ বিন রশিদ আল জায়ানি ও সংযুক্ত আরব আমিরাতের উপপ্রধানমন্ত্রী ও পররাষ্ট্রমন্ত্রী শেখ ��ব্দুল্লাহ বিন জায়েদ আল নাহিয়ান এবং কাতারের পররাষ্ট্র প্রতিমন্ত্রী সুলতান বিন সাদ আল মুরাইখি আজ বিকেলে পররাষ্ট্রমন্ত্রী ড. খলিলুর রহমানকে পৃথকভাবে টেলিফোন করেন। টেলিফোনে তাঁরা চলমান সংকট সম্পর্কে এবং বাংলাদেশি অভিবাসীদের নিরাপত্তা নিয়ে আলোচনা করেন।

আলাপকালে সংশ্লিষ্ট মন্ত্রীবৃন্দ তাঁদের নিজ নিজ দেশে বসবাসরত বাংলাদেশি অভিবাসীদের সার্বিক নিরাপত্তা, সুরক্ষা ও কল্যাণ নিশ্চি��করণে প্রয়োজনীয় সকল ব্যবস্থা গ্রহণের আশ্বাস প্রদান করেন। তাঁরা বাংলাদেশ ও তাঁদের দেশের মধ্যকার দীর্ঘদিনের নিবিড় ও ভ্রাতৃপ্রতিম সম্পর্কের কথা উল্লেখ করে বলেন যে, তাঁদের দেশে অবস্থানরত বাংলাদেশি নাগরিকদের তাঁরা নিজেদের দেশের বাসিন্দা হিসেবে গণ্য করেন।
তাঁরা বাংলাদেশি অভিবাসীদের কঠোর পরিশ্রমী, আইনমান্যকারী ও দায়িত্বশীল হিসেবে অভিহিত করেন এবং দেশগুলোর অর্থনীতিতে বাংলাদেশি অভিবাসীদের গুরুত্বপূর্ণ অবদান��র কথাও বিশেষভাবে উল্লেখ করেন।

চলমান সংঘাতের প্রেক্ষাপটে দুইজন বাংলাদেশি নাগরিকের মর্মান্তিক মৃত্যু এবং সাতজনের আহত হওয়ার ঘটনায় কুয়েত, বাহরাইন ও সংযুক্ত আরব আমিরাতের পররাষ্ট্রমন্ত্রীবৃন্দ গভীর শোক ও উদ্বেগ প্রকাশ করেন। তাঁরা সাম্প্রতিক দিনগুলোতে তাঁদের দেশসমূহে সংঘটিত বিনা উস্কানির আক্রমণকে অগ্রহণযোগ্য বলে উল্লেখ করেন এবং বেসামরিক জনগণের সুরক্ষা নিশ্চিত করার প্রত্যয় পু��র্ব���যক্ত করেন।

এ প্রেক্ষাপটে বাংলাদেশ সরকারের পক্ষ থেকে সংহতি প্রকাশের জন্য সংশ্লিষ্ট মন্ত্রীবৃন্দ বাংলাদেশের প্রতি গভীর কৃতজ্ঞতা জ্ঞাপন করেন।

টেলিফোনালাপে বাহরাইনের পররাষ্ট্রমন্ত্রী ইরানের নিক্ষিপ্ত মিসাইলের ধ্বংসাবশেষের আঘাতে এক বাংলাদেশ��� নাগরিকের মৃত্যুর বিষয়টি আনুষ্ঠানিকভাবে নিশ্চিত করেন। তিনি বাহরাইনের মহামান্য রাজা হামাদ বিন ইসা আল খলিফার পক্ষ থেকে বাংলাদেশের মাননীয় প্রধানমন্ত্রী তারেক রহমানের নিকট গভীর শোক জ্ঞাপন করেন।

বাহরাইনের পররাষ্ট্রমন্ত্রী পুনর্ব্যক্ত করেন যে, বাহরাইনে বসবাসরত বাংলাদেশি নাগরিকদের সার্বিক নিরাপত্তা, সুরক্ষা ও কল্যাণ নিশ্চিত করতে তাঁর সরকার প্র��়োজনীয় সকল ব্যবস্থা গ্রহণ করে যাচ্ছে এবং ভবিষ্যতেও তা অব্যাহত থাকবে।

বাংলাদেশের পররাষ্ট্রমন্ত্রী এ ঘটনায় বাহরাইন সরকারের সহযোগিতার জন্য আন্তরিক ধন্যবাদ জ্ঞাপন করেন।

উল্লেখ্য, এর আগে আজ বিকালে বাহরাইনের পররাষ্ট্রমন্ত্রী বাংলাদেশের পররাষ্ট্রমন্ত্রীর সাথে টেলিফোনে কথা বলেন।
