@GreeneMan6 This is completely true. I have personally proposed organizing and hosting events *myself* to facilitate single adults meeting each other in the church community, and was turned down multiple times at multiple churches. not doing a grift, just trying to help fix the problem
@dvorstone Its not simply an "alien" curiosity, it is *foundational* to our western European culture, the purpose of it as an educational exercise is to learn where *our* particularity came from, how it changed over time, & how echos of this past still ring in our collective unconsciousness
@Bull_Rush4570 No this is not a "revenge fantasy" it is a description of what is *already happening*, this is what the UK Rotterdam rape gangs ARE
It is *bad*
@g_est1 @GirlsChase The problem is that 'status' is intrinsically zero sum, and as a result chasing it creates enormous pressure for men to waste effort in trying to "win" various "tournaments" that ultimately produces nothing of value to society, just to grow a metaphorical peacock's tail
@cremieuxrecueil Using median "household" income to make this claim instead of per-hour after tax individual median male income is some serious chart crime
@jakozloski No, it's that divorce is an imbalanced government procedure for relationship breakup, and thus has skewed incentives and outcomes, versus cohabitating breakups which have no government intervention
@gran1te_mtn@InezFeltscher No it is not, look up nutritional information for common, mass produced processed foods in America vs other countries, they are frequently not the same recipe and have better nutritional value on a per ounce level
McDs big macs in tokyo have more protein and less fat than in NYC
@DogmaticTower@VDAREJamesK Horror as a genre was born in the same year, in the same place, as the industrial revolution, and it is the subconscious reaction to and against modernity. A dreaming fixation on our immovable ultimate limit of death, as we are tempted to believe ourselves to have become as gods
@FromKulak horror, actually *scary* stories, is an inherently right-wing genre, because it is by necessity forever focused on the ultimate human limitation--death's inevitability. Whenever leftists try to subvert this, it ceases to be horror, failing to be scary or becoming action/scifi
