La coalizione di sinistra che si candida a governare Venezia fa una tristezza nella sua poverta' assoluta di proposte che viene da piangere.

Ma inventarsi che l'assessore Venturini, che per 11 anni ha mal-governato con Brugnaro in una delle peggiori, forse la peggiore in assoluto, fra le giunte veneziane del dopoguerra, sia "equilibrato e liberale" segnala una non conoscenza della realta' della citta' da far spavento.

Dedichero' presto l'ennesimo breve video illustrativo degli assoluti DISASTRI REAZIONARI ED AFFARISTI che quella giunta ha prodotto.

Basti dire che, invece di usare i fondi PNRR per risanare le aree dismesse di Porto Marghera questi geni hanno proposto un piano finto che prevedeva costruzione del palazzetto dello sport per la squadra locale di basket controllata dal sindaco Brugnaro. La Commissione gliel'ha tranquillamente e giustamente bocciata e non han preso i soldi.

Non contenti hanno indebitato un Comune alla canna del gas per costruire - al costo di +300 milioni - il palazzetto ed un inutile stadio del calcio (Venezia ne ha uno storico a Sant'Elena) in un'area agricola vicina all'aeroporto (che avrebbe avuto ben altri utilizzi civili) per la gloria della squadra del sior Sindaco.

Intanto interi quartieri di Mestre vanno sotto acqua (e fogna) ogni volta che piove intensamente.

JUST IN: Iran’s new supreme leader apparently approved the ceasefire from a hospital bed in Qom where US-Israeli intelligence says he is unconscious and unable to participate in any decision-making. Few hours later, IRGC cluster warheads were still detonating over Israeli and gulf cities. Not many in the Western press have connected these two facts, and the connection rewrites everything the market just priced.

The system that accepted the ceasefire and the system that violated it are not the same system. That is the point of Mosaic Defence.

Twenty years ago, the IRGC restructured itself into 31 independent provincial commands, each with its own missile arsenal, drone fleet, Basij militia integration, and pre-delegated launch authority. The doctrine was designed for exactly this scenario: supreme leader incapacitated, central communications degraded, conventional military infrastructure destroyed. Every provincial commander can execute offensive operations without a phone call to Tehran. The architecture was tested in war games, refined after watching Saddam’s centralised command collapse in 48 hours in 2003, and activated the moment Ali Khamenei was killed on February 28th.

The senior IRGC military council that approved the ceasefire through the Supreme National Security Council, citing Mojtaba’s name for domestic legitimacy, does not control the launch decisions of every provincial unit. It cannot. That is by design. The field commanders who fired at Israel and the UAE after the announcement were not violating orders. They were following standing pre-delegated authority that exists precisely so that operations continue when the centre cannot communicate, or chooses not to. The ceasefire was a political act by the council in Tehran. The missile launches were a military act by autonomous field units in the provinces. Both happened simultaneously because the architecture permits it.

This is what the market failed to price when WTI crashed nine percent.

The nine percent drop assumed a unified Iranian state that accepted a ceasefire and would enforce it across all domains. What exists instead is a fragmented command structure where political leadership in Tehran can sign agreements that provincial military commanders are neither required nor expected to follow in real time. The Mosaic Defence that kept the regime alive through 39 days of the most intense bombing campaign since 2003 is the same architecture that makes ceasefire enforcement structurally unreliable.

Israel understood this immediately. The IDF did not pause. It continued eliminating Hezbollah fighters in southern Lebanon, struck a weapons crossing south of the Litani River, and cited Iranian violations as justification for ongoing raids on Iranian targets. Netanyahu’s calculus is transparent: if the adversary’s own military architecture cannot enforce a ceasefire, then the ceasefire does not constrain the defender.

The molecule thesis absorbs this development without modification. If the ceasefire holds, the crackers are still rubble and reconstruction takes years. If the ceasefire fragments because autonomous IRGC units continue launching, the war resumes and the deficit deepens. Both branches produce the same terminal condition for petrochemical supply. The human-chain game theory from yesterday and the Mosaic Defence autonomy from tonight converge on the same conclusion: the crisis duration is structurally guaranteed by the adversary’s own defensive architecture, regardless of what any council signs in Tehran or any diplomat negotiates in Islamabad.

The supreme leader is unconscious. The missiles are not.

A PhD student at Oxford got caught submitting "AI-generated" work.

Except he hadn't used AI to write anything.

He used it to think.

Here's the workflow his advisor called "the most sophisticated research process I've seen in 20 years."

He starts every essay with a brutal diagnostic prompt.

Dumps his rough argument into Claude and asks: "What are the 3 weakest logical jumps in this reasoning? Where would a hostile examiner attack first?"

The AI doesn't write his essay. It destroys his draft.

Then he rebuilds.

But the next step is what separates him from every other student using ChatGPT or Claude to generate paragraphs.

He uploads the top 5 papers in his field and asks: "What claims in my argument contradict or oversimplify what these authors actually found?"
Most students cite papers they've skimmed. He cites papers he's been forced to genuinely understand.

The final move is almost unfair.

Before submitting, he pastes his conclusion and asks: "What would a philosopher of science say is missing from this argument? What assumptions am I making that I haven't defended?"

His essays come back with comments like "unusually rigorous" and "demonstrates rare critical depth."

He's not using AI to write.

He's using it to think harder than he could alone.

The tool hasn't changed. The workflow has.

Questo è un video di Palantir, l’azienda che fa software militare. Credo sia la cosa più sconcertante che io abbia visto in vita mia. Questo signore che sembra in tutto e per tutto un sales representative di Microsoft o Salesforce ordina un attacco militare con un software che sembra simile a un CRM. “Complete Workflow”, “Case Assigned”, ha le “lead” sul valore dei “target” e completa la “kill chain”.Il lessico è quello, ma non sta vendendo abbonamenti telefonici, sta uccidendo degli esseri umani con un attacco aereo.

Una volta i militari avevano una loro estetica, le armi, le uniformi. La loro violenza era anche ritualizzata, doveva esserlo per dare l’illusione del controllo. La guerra è diventata un software gestionale. Ecco perché Hegseth deve fare flessioni e chiamarsi “secretary of war”, i simboli della letalità tornano importanti quando in fondo si è solo il business owner di un software come un altro, un’altra interfaccia umana di un sistema che gestisce la distruzione invece dei conti in banca, la morte come una KPI come un’altra. Incredibile, allucinante vederlo in due minuti
