የውጭ ጉዳይ ሚኒስቴርና ተጠሪ ተቋማቱ በአፋር ክልል የሚያከናውኗቸውን 10 የአቅመ ደካሞች መኖሪያ ቤቶችና አንድ የመዋዕለ ሕፃናት ትምህርት ቤት ግንባታዎች በተያዘው የጥራት ደረጃና በተፋጠነ ጊዜ እንዲጠናቀቁ፣ ዛሬ ነሐሴ 6 ቀን 2018 ዓ.ም. ከአፋር ብሄራዊ ክልላዊ መንግስት ጋር ስምምነት ተፈራርመናል።

ፕሮጀክቶቹ ሲጠናቀቁ የወገኖቻችንን ኑሮ ለማሻሻል፣ የልጆቻችንን የነገ ሕልም ለማሳካት እና ተስፋን በተግባር ለመገንባት የሚያግዙ ዘላቂ አሻራዎቻችን ይሆናሉ።

ከሁሉም በላይ፣ ይህ ተግባር የኢትዮጵያዊነታችን መገለጫ የሆነውን የአብሮነት፣ የትብብርና የመተጋገዝ እሴታችንን ወደ ተጨባጭ ውጤት የሚቀይር ነው።

አብረን እንሠራለን፤ አብረን እንገነባለን፤ ተስፋንም አብረን እውን እናደርጋለን።

Turning Our Commitment to Solidarity into Action!
As part of our 2018 E.C. Summer Volunteer Service, we continue to turn our commitment to Ethiopian solidarity into meaningful action.

Today, August 12, 2026, in the Afar Region, we signed an agreement with the Afar National Regional Government to ensure the timely and quality completion of 10 homes for vulnerable members of our community and one kindergarten school, being undertaken by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and its affiliated institutions.

Upon completion, these projects will leave a lasting impact—improving the living conditions of our fellow citizens, creating better opportunities for our children, and turning hope into tangible outcomes.

More importantly, this initiative demonstrates how we can transform the Ethiopian values of solidarity, cooperation, and mutual support into meaningful and lasting results.

We work together, we build together, we turn hope into reality.

I am proud to be part of Ethiopia’s Green Legacy Initiative. For eight years, the strong commitment shown by Prime Minister @AbiyAhmedAli and the entire nation has demonstrated the power of collective action in creating a greener and more sustainable future.

Under his leadership, Ethiopia’s progress—particularly in digital transformation and artificial intelligence—signals significant potential not only for the nation but for the broader African continent.

በዛሬው ዕለት የአፍሪካ ህብረት ኮሚሽን ምክትል ሊቀመንበር ከሆኑት ክቡርት አምባሳደር ሰልማ ማሊካ ሀዳዲ ጋር በጽ/ቤታቸው ተገኝቼ ውይይት አካሂደናል። በዚህም ቀጣዩን የአፍሪካ ህብረት ስብሰባ በተሳካ መልኩ ለማካሄድ በኢትዮጵያ በኩል እየተደረገ ስላለው ጠንካራ ዝግጅት፣ እንዲሁም በህብረቱ በኩል መከናወን ስለሚገባቸው ቁልፍ ጉዳዮች ላይ ሰፊ የመረጃ ልውውጥ አድርገናል። በተጨማሪም በኢትዮጵያና በአፍሪካ ህብረት መካከል ለረጅም ጊዜ ፀንቶ የቆየው ትብብርና ወዳጅነት በይበልጥ ተጠናክሮ መቀጠል በሚችልበት ጉዳይ ላይም ጠቃሚ ውይይት አካሂደናል።

Today, I paid a courtesy visit to H.E. Ambassador Selma Malika Haddadi, Deputy Chairperson of the African Union Commission, at her office. We exchanged detailed views on Ethiopia’s robust preparations for the successful hosting of the upcoming #AU Summit, as well as on key issues to be undertaken by the African Union. We also discussed ways to further strengthen the long-standing cooperation and cordial relations between #Ethiopia and the #AU.

FM @GHessebon received Olof Skoog, Deputy Secretary-General for Political Affairs at the European External Action Service, at his office today.

During the meeting, Foreign Minister Gedion emphasized that the European Union and its member states remain reliable partners of Ethiopia, describing the relationship as a critical partnership grounded in shared values and aspirations. He highlighted Ethiopia’s efforts toward regional integration, noting alignment with the European Union’s Global Gateway initiative, and expressed the country’s commitment to advancing economic integration within the region. Referring to ongoing macroeconomic reforms, the Minister welcomed European companies taking advantage of Ethiopia’s favorable business climate and encouraged further investment.

Deputy Secretary-General Skoog reaffirmed the strategic partnership between Ethiopia and the European Union, emphasizing the #EU’s support for #Ethiopia’s economic reforms and congratulating the country on its upcoming role as host of COP32 in 2027. He also expressed the EU’s readiness to cooperate on ongoing and future initiatives.

The discussion further covered regional peace and security, with both sides agreeing to continue working together on areas of common interest.

For the goals set under Digital Ethiopia 2030 to be achieved, there are two fundamental enabling factors. The first is access to electricity. Access to electricity can be considered the lifeblood of digital technology. The technological gadgets we use require electricity. Therefore, we must expand access to electricity through all possible means. The second is internet connectivity. Many cities have already benefited from internet connectivity. However, in the next five years, this connectivity must be made fully accessible in all areas. By working with the belief that this is achievable, we must create equal opportunities for our citizens.
