Nagasaki atomic bombing survivors have been told that Prime Minister Takaichi will be meeting with them, but they will not be allowed to talk to her.
A similar policy was followed last year.
There are organizations representing survivors who were exposed to radiation from the "black rain" that fell after the bombing but do not currently meet the legal requirements to be recognized as atomic bomb survivors by the Japanese government. They are disappointed that they will not be able to speak to Takaichi.
