How did we go from that to having convos about being full Igbo or Yoruba or whatever tribe because of a mother's origin?Just because it favors your bias,you now agree that a woman matters afterall?This election has really exposed a lot about the kind of humans who share our space

People often ask me why my son bears Nachinada, a Bekwara name, when his dad is Efik. It never makes sense to them. My son's second name is Efik but everyone thinks it should be his first name because "children belong to their father."

For once a good number of Nigerians agreed that a woman matters in the grand scheme of things after all, thanks to tribal bigots. I thought we all agreed that "children belong to men and have the origin of the father."
