Several years ago, the Stylebook advised that you heat your oven, because "preheat" is redundant.
That might be true linguistically, but we heard you. Common usage in cookbooks calls for preheating.
Our guidance now says preheat is acceptable to refer to heating an oven to a specific temperature before cooking.
AP style generally says to lowercase tree and other seasonal terms with Christmas: card, wreath, carol, etc.
One exception to note: National Christmas Tree in Washington.
This isn't a trick and we will leave it up to you if you think it is a treat. One thing is for sure you will want to dress warm if you are walking around Tuesday evening. Snow and breezy conditions will be possible in the evening.

Went on my first backpacking trip this weekend. I learned how to pitch - or not pitch - an X-Mid tent, filter water and - what the heck - how to play the ukulele. The other women on this trip were so great, giving and kind and it was awesome to travel with them!
Gary and I spent this evening hiking. We love being outside, especially in the woods. Totally forgot to change into my trail shoes, but my running shoes did the trick on this trail.
