Dear Hon. @millybabalanda, Hon. @kirunda_faruk, if this is authentic, I now see why some RDCs may find it hard to review documents and detect corruption and fraud, because, what is this mazima!....
Which academic documents did this one submit to public service for the contract? If she is indeed an RDC, I only see chickens indeed...
STATEMENT.
The Water Engineer of Mbale District, Eng. Wandera Simon Peter, is currently detained at CPS Mbale.
This follows his arrest in connection with GEF: 09/2026 over alleged mismanagement of the Buyobo - Bubyangu Gravity Flow Scheme in Mbale District.
The project was funded to the tune of UGX 2.2 Billion by His Excellency the President of the Republic of Uganda, with the objective of providing clean and free piped water from the Elgon Mountains to rural communities in the area.
It is regrettable that all connected public taps are dry, despite the massive investment intended to serve the people.
All contractors are hereby put on notice to desist from substandard work. Government projects must meet the required standards and deliver real value to Ugandans.
Hon. Barugahara Balaam Ateenyi
Minister of State for Local Government
Thanks @KankundaAmos1 for loving your people. This is being more than an MP but shows your commitment and having Rwampara at heart. Keep shining akooki original

On to the second leg, together, we fight for the win!
Today is the day that the Lord has made , let us rejoice and be glad in it.
As we gather in thanksgiving, may our hearts be filled with joy, gratitude and hope. Let us praise the Almighty for the precious gift of life, His endless grace, and the countless blessings He continues to bestow upon us.
May this day strengthen our faith, unite us in love and remind us that with God, all things are possible.
@BalaamBarugahar thanks for the spot check you have unveiled a very big fraud. This shows that most of the govt officials are sleeping on job esp. at district Level
We ended the expose the corrupt spot check with leaders meeting in Mbale District, where I was joined by my colleagues, Ministers Hon. Lydia Wanyoto and Hon. Simon Mulongo, all Members of Parliament from Mbale District, and the entire District Council.
We agreed that all leaders implicated should be interdicted pending transparent desk audits, and that there must be no interference with the process.
The Rt. Hon Calvin Armstrong Rwomiire Akiiki the Prime Minister the great kingdom of Tooro with a team of Plu mobilizers also paid me a courtesy visit.
I was glad to meet him and tapping from his cup of wisdom.
PLU is destined for greatness
Today, I met with contractors undertaking the construction and rehabilitation of national roads across the country to address the progress of ongoing projects and outstanding contractual obligations.
Government is committed to settling verified outstanding payments, and I urged all contractors to immediately resume work on stalled projects and ensure they are completed within the agreed contract timelines.
I strongly advocate for foreign contractors to partner with and mentor local firms to strengthen Uganda's capacity in the road construction sector.
โฐ COUNTDOWN: Ongoing asphalt overlay works on the Kampala Northern Bypass [Namugoona-Bwaise section].
The Contractor has fully mobilized on site to meet the Monday deadline issued by the Hon. Minister @HonByamukama for completion of the current maintenance works.
@MoWT_Uganda
I think @HonByamukama deserved this position. The man is tirelessly pushing here and there regain the ministry's lost reputation. @KagutaMuseveni thanks for appointing the right man
Earlier Today: Works and Transport Minister @HonByamukama has met road contractors to address delayed infrastructure projects, improve service delivery, and strengthen accountability following concerns over project delays and poor workmanship.
