Let me remind you one case if you don't know or have forgotten!

It was 2007!

A Businessman...Kathirvel filed complaint with CBI against Chidambaram, his family including wife Nalini & Indian Overseas Bank (IOB) for HOTEL GRAB MISUSING POWER!

So what had exactly happened?

Kathirvel, a businessman, was running Hotel, Poultry, Education & Real Estate business in Southern States. He was running a Posh Hotel “Comfort Inn" in Tirupur. Had taken business loan from IOB of ₹2.75 Crores by mortgaging his hotel worth around ₹10 Crores.
(All figures as per 2006-07. You are free to convert in today's monetary value applying Price Index).

Due to business ups & downs....his Repayment had become choppy & loan repayment had become bit irregular.

But this wasn't the problem of his life! Problem started when Nalini Chidambaram set her eyes on the hotel!

AS PER PLAN....IOB declared Loan as a Non-Performing Asset (NPA) and announced auction. Kathirvel approached Madras High Court and later Debt Recovery Tribunal and PAID ₹64 lakhs to IOB to avoid auction.

After receiving ₹64 lakhs, the Bank promised cancellation of auction on record....BUT the Bank CHEATED him & conducted a FARCE AUCTION and allotted the hotel to Padmini ((Nalini Chidambaram's Sister) at a very CHEAP RATE of ₹4.5 crores WHEN The hotel’s value was more than ₹10 Crores.

Coincidentally...“Vegetables Farmer" P Chidambaram was Central Finance Minister that time!!

Before Kathirvel could take any legal action....Padmini with the help of mob of goons barged into the hotel and FORCEFULLY took possession of the hotel.

After some years, the hotel was OFFICIALLY inaugurated by P Chidambaram.

Later Kathirvel approached CBI branch in Tamilnadu which REFUSED to take his complaint. So he went to Court which directed him to CBI Director to lodge complaint.

HONEST Chidambaram, Obviously, tried to wash his hands off & said he had advised wife Nalini to leave handling the files of Padmini.

BUT Nalini called Kathirvel and offered ₹2.5 crores to withdraw all cases as well as his HOPES TO GET BACK the hotel. Returning the cheque of ₹2.5 Crores given by Nalini, Kathirvel continued the battle. The matter is now Subjudice & CBI is expected to file Chargesheet along with Status Report SOON.

In MY OPINION....Politically Correct time to do so SHOULD BE Last Quarter of 2023.

And remember it was SAME Chidambaram who as Finance Minister ALLOWED Dirty Dozens to turn Lakhs of Crores Loans into NPA. It was SAME Chidambaram who FORCED IDBI to give ₹900 Crores Loan to Vijay Mallya for his ALREADY Defunct Kingfisher Airlines. So...don't give me crap that IOB acted ONLY to recover dues from a NPA.
