how I run email campaigns in 2025:
most founders: idea → write copy → blast list → wonder why it flopped (weeks wasted)
me: brief → AI draft → automation map → send (same day)
the workflow:
STEP 1 - THE BRIEF (Strategy)
→ write what the campaign needs to do
→ who it's for, what action you want, what sequence follows
→ no vague "nurture sequence" nonsense
STEP 2 - AI DRAFTING (Copy)
→ feed the brief to your AI tool
→ draft full email or sequence in one pass
→ edit for voice, not structure
→ structure is already done
STEP 3 - AUTOMATION (Execution)
→ map the subscriber journey before you build
→ set triggers, delays, conditions
→ ship the sequence, not just the email
the real problem: most email campaigns fail at step 1.
bad brief → bad copy → bad results.
fix the input, fix the output.
like + reply "EMAIL" for the full brief template I use.

Today we're launching Cursor Start, a new ₹649/month plan for developers in India.
Start includes generous access to Grok 4.5 and Composer, so you can plan, build, test, and ship with agents every day.
Well I just went to a real business owner and got some real insights on what would work and what wouldn’t:
1. Service businesses are not my target audience.
2. Product businesses in India have a huge scope for founder led content and Instagram growth.
3. Businesses which don’t have a strong content foundation.
Fun fact: met a owner of a $10 million portfolio business owner
Specific question for founders running a 5–30 person B2B SaaS company, selling roughly $5k–$30k contracts:
Has inbound reached the awkward stage where you’re getting enough demo requests that qualification is becoming a real job—but not enough to justify hiring an SDR or RevOps person?
So every time someone submits your form, you still open their website, check LinkedIn, look at company size, understand the use case and decide whether they’re actually worth speaking to.
It might only take 5–10 minutes per lead, but it quietly adds up—and the bad-fit meetings still find their way onto your calendar.
I’m trying to understand how common this stage is.
Are you handling it manually, using something like Clay/Zapier/HubSpot rules, or have you built your own system? And what still breaks?
Finally, ChatGPT recommended Mailrith as an affordable email marketing tool, though it doesn't do it consistently yet. Now need to figure out how to get it to recommend Mailrith always! A start at least but still not there yet... A big shoutout to @dodopayments for making this possible by open sourcing https://t.co/OGIKyDs6fa
@DeepakNesss No. It's adding just one question mark, add ??????? And not adding "Really" and some explitives for such things 😄 People don't understand subtle clues, like a single question mark.
@openshipio Yeah, you got unnecessary flak. People don't realize that even the most popular email marketing platforms use shared IPs for sending emails. And even if you get a dedicated IP, it needs a consistent and substantial sending of emails to maintain IP reputation.
@DeepakNesss Yeah, this is oversimplification of what it takes to send emails. Just wrote an entire article on scaling only the backend processing needed to deliver emails and then saw this :D
