“I think the emergence of prominent, openly autistic people sets the tone for many others on the autism spectrum and within the disability community." - Haley Moss https://t.co/quzRHdN8Wd
Not every disabled person would jump at the idea of a cure.
For me, I wouldn’t know who I would be if I were never born with a disability. It informs my every experience and memory, and therefore, how I see and relate to the world.
During the afternoon at an Easterseals, a child with a #disability is hitting milestones that will enable them to gain greater independence. Ensure services like physical therapy will be available to more families across the country this #GivingTuesday: https://t.co/RE76NadDEy

@BizGalz A7: Let them know your space is a safe space for them to talk about it without judgement. Talk to other people about it. Ensure public events have a positive policy about it. Ask the worker how we could help. #BizGalz
@BizGalz A6: I think we need to look more at eating and food access as a right, as a necessity, rather than a privilege reserved for those who can afford it. This is an instance where I don't know how to get people to care about other people. The fact that some don't is tragic. #BizGalz
@BizGalz A5: For me, it's comfort. And sometimes (or, uh, most times) you just need something comforting as a reward for making it through another day. #BizGalz
@BizGalz A4: Start by not looking at or talking about those in the industry as undignified. Take away the stigma by normalizing it (because it is normal). #BizGalz
