Arguably, at least 2 of the 4 CFB Playoff teams wouldn’t have stood a chance at winning a conference championship this season if they played in the Big 10. This is a perspective that is much overlooked by the committee. @CFBPlayoff@OU_Football@NDFootball
Here's a mind trick I've started to play with money:
I calculate how much my current purchases are costing my future self. (I use 7% interest.)
Spend $100 today?
I'm taking...
$350 from myself in 20 years.
$1,000 from myself in 35 years.
$3,000 from myself in 50 years.
Just recently started focusing on the “art of saying no” and it has already reduced and prevented loads of stress and left more time for focusing on the things I actually enjoy. Highly recommend honing this skill.
Productivity quirk I've noticed:
If I work while listening to music with words, I get basically nothing done.
If I work while listening to music without words, I can focus better when in distracting environments (airplanes, coffee shops, etc.)
I generally work best in silence.
Over 107 billion people have lived throughout history. These people tried things, failed, learned, and tried differently. Sometimes, they found new solutions. The cumulative lessons of those 107 billion have been passed down to you.
It is the greatest gift you will ever receive.
"The dead outnumber the living fourteen to one, and we ignore the accumulated experience of such a huge majority of mankind at our peril."

“People say that what we’re all seeking is a meaning for life. I don’t think that’s what we’re really seeking. I think that what we’re seeking is an experience of being alive.” — Joseph Campbell
Stop focusing on “what do I want people to think of me?” Start focusing on “what do I want to think about myself.” The latter will bring more happiness.

“It is fatal to know too much at the outset. Boredom comes as quickly to the traveler who knows his route as the novelist who is over certain of his plot.” — Paul Theroux
