I was privileged to be at the test run of the contactless passport application system by @BTOofficial & @nigimmigration today. When ready, over 18s RENEWING passports can capture their biometrics themselves at home. Passport delivered to your home! 👏🏽👏🏽
I’ve pointed this out numerous times. Many Nigerian developers are just too “optimistic” in the way they build software. These constant data breaches, sadly, come as no surprise.
BREAKING: Following our press conference on another website that was selling sensitive data of Nigerians, including those of high-profile government officials and security agents, https://t.co/cUmZABXb42 has now been taken offline. We are taking legal action to force @nimc_ng and @ndpcngr to do the right thing this time, unlike the March 2024 leak (and others before) that ended with press statements and inadequate regulatory action.
As a part of that process, we archived the website that has now been taken offline to hide trails, we have proof that they were selling data through chat apps, we set up an account that easily bought the NIN slips of the Digital Economy Minister and National Commissioner of Nigeria’s Data Protection Commission, and we have found many other such websites that are still active online!
Read our press statement on this data breach that could have been swept under the carpet again: https://t.co/7q4cY683RA
Well done for bringing this up Ian. It’s not easy to talk about… being black in Britain especially when you’re “batting above” where society expects you. I just hope for the sake of my children’s generation that something changes.
Now more than ever let's get behind & support these young people. We can all see what's happening & who's being set up to be the face of defeat. We are going to be gas lit with explanations & justifications, but those deciding who goes on the back pages know what they’re doing. Let's keep our energy focused on giving these players pure love & support throughout the tournament.
For almost all the over 200 employees we are onboarding at our factory, 99% do not have banks. This is in Abekouta. To pay them efficiently, we have to get them banked and NIN registered etc...
My reward for this entrepreneurship life is in heaven.
@afalli@GovernorObaseki Super proud to be a part of this progress in Edo state. The exemplary work being done in Edo State on digital transformation is laudable!
Birmingham City Council is forking out £120 million for its troubled Oracle IT system. West Sussex's cost for Oracle has risen from £2.6 million to £40 million and the Vale of Glamorgan has overspent by £3.7 million, according to @TheMJcouk. Who is responsible?
I saw this method of Yam Farming on Facebook. Owing to the fact that knowledge is power, I had to share!
Here is how you grow yam from the comfort of your compound using these steps
Step1 - Get cement sacks or rice sacks, the bigger the sacks the better.
Step2- Get ash from burnt charcoal, What you see on that bowl is not cement, It is burnt charcoal ash.
Step3- Fill the sacks with healthy soil.
Step 4- You either bury the yam heads or Cut your yam into small sizes, rub the ash on the piece , then bury deep in the sack filled with soil.
Step 5- Place the sacks outside where it can access rain and sunlight.
Step 6- Soon as it starts springing leaves attach a stick to it, so the leaves can climb.
End!
The AskQX app is well done.
It's like #ChatGPT-meets-Quora & supports over 100 languages (including 24 variants of Arabic).
More languages (a bunch from Africa too) expected in q3.
It offers answers & asks you to submit your related knowledge, if any.

@levie Thanks for sharing this Aaron. What’s fascinating is that whatever 10 year future you imagine, and that your teams are working towards, is still likely to be wrong due to the sheer pace of change.
