ADHD at 51 is realizing that 37 years of being called indecisive was actually just your brain seeing every possible outcome and getting paralyzed by the options.
@LaurenWalshArt That’s like how someone put first chapter of Frankenstein into an ai detector and it came back as ‘more AI than human’ like duh what did LLMs train on?
It is permissible in English for a preposition to be what you end a sentence with.
The idea that it should be avoided came from writers who were trying to align the language with Latin, but there is no reason to suggest ending a sentence with a preposition is wrong.
- : This is a hyphen.
– : This is an en-dash.
— : This is an em-dash.
The hyphen is used to connect words, like you say. Ex: Twenty-two, ex-boyfriend.
The en-dash is used in the context of a span of time. Ex: 1996–2018, February–March.
The em-dash is used when inserting a thought. Ex: He wouldn't—couldn't—go home.
The new "Outlaw / Cowboy outfits" from the TP are amazing. But I'm still waiting for the black version of this cloth set (hopefully made cosmetic now).
Crazy this set was added in Cataclysm yet we never got this color Godfrey and his Boys have been wearing.
Really enjoyed MASTERS OF THE UNIVERSE. It wasn’t drab and dark, but bright, colorful and fun. I even loved the musical nods to the old FLASH GORDON flick (which I adored). The composer even brought in Brian May from Queen. This movie was a lot of fun. Great casting too. Sequel!
When people say, “crime is a social construct,” they mean this:
An individual can end up in jail for littering, while a corporation can contaminate the air, poison the soil, and pollute the water of an entire community and often, no one goes to jail.
