We have Italians discovering free refills,
Japanese discovering unlimited chips and salsa, and Germans road tripping the country becoming Ella Fellas.
In this USA 250 simulation, it’s quite simple, we’re winning the World Cup.
Algerians doing jigs in Kansas... Brits eating barbecue in Texas... Koreans doing full on kegstands in Mexico... just goes to show that the entire world can be united by the simple concept of getting really drunk and watching a sporting event
A dude from Argentina just said Alabama is the best state in the world and Jordan-Hare is the best stadium in the country. That settles it. #BlogleDoesFIFA#auburn#wareagle
Anthony Bourdain died on this day eight years ago and him describing Waffle House is still the single-most important description of America that has ever been articulated.
Spain is experiencing Chattanooga, TN.
Argentina is in Auburn, Alabama.
Germans are eating Waffle House.
Brits are still complaining.
This World Cup has been amazing and it hasn’t even started yet.
Auburn scored 6, 1, 4 and 3 runs in its four super regional games at home over the last two seasons.
You can’t go 0-4 in back-to-back home super regionals. You just can’t.
I researched the SEC's dominance in college baseball... 2008 is really when the SEC's stranglehold on the sport began.
Since then, the SEC has fielded half of the field in Omaha four times. They have had three teams in Omaha six additional times since 2008.
They've won 10 championships, including the last six. They have been the runner-up 10 times. Those don't count when Texas and Oklahoma, added to the league, were runners-up in 2009 and 2022.
There has been a current SEC school in the finals in all but one season since then.
Seven different SEC teams have won titles from 2011 to now. LSU has won three championships, while South Carolina and Vanderbilt have won two apiece.
SEC schools have reached Omaha 55 times since 2008, accounting for 40.4% of all CWS teams over the last 17 tournaments. Fourteen of its schools have been to Omaha over that span.
Twelve of those schools have been at least twice. Nine have been three times. Seven have been four times. Six have been five times. Three have been seven times. Florida has been eight times.
The SEC has taken over the CWS at a truly unprecedented level over the last 17 CWSs.
