The Sameer Project team and other groups cleaned together for hours, and we provided the cleaning staff 75 meals of mujaddara (rice and lentils). Total cost for meals was $160 with 11% commission.

Collaborative work with local organizations is at the heart of our values at The Sameer Project. We hope that borders open soon so that we can do more large scale community work and rebuild Gaza together.

My dear friends, it seems things are getting worse in Gaza. We are beginning to feel the implementation of their plan to advance beyond the Green Line and expand it, so that the total area occupied in Gaza will reach 70% of our land...
Every day we hear the sounds of explosions from tanks, and the sounds are clear to everyone; it's the highest point resulting from the tanks' advance...
I can't imagine how war could ever return... We've been through some very difficult times...
That's why I'm still insisting on stockpiling cat food... because if war breaks out, there will be famine here. The pictures below show how much weight I lost during the famine... and another picture of the aid rations they airdropped, which I received once during the war...

More than 171,000 Palestinians have been injured in Gaza by the occupation since October 2023. And this includes 43,000 with life changing injuries - permanent and traumatic. https://t.co/6l9JFjXgdv These numbers are probably a low estimate of the actual reality. Yet those who are injured, feeling pain and experiencing lack of medical support still must struggle to survive.

They set out daily to find food and water, sometimes as the only caretakers in their families while then need assistance themselves. Translating Falasteen x The Sameer Project needs to scale up water distribution - but the reality is funding is forcing us to scale down. We need your help. On May 17 we provided 322,000 liters to neighborhoods in the North.

Now try to imagine what that means: postponing critical healthcare, not being able to pay rent and facing eviction, or accruing debt on top of debt just to cover essential survival needs. The list is long. And it is all preventable.

If all pro-Palestine and free Palestine activists integrate the actual survival and immediate needs of the people in Gaza into their activism, we can end this unnecessary suffering.

An easy way to start is to bring more people outside the retweet bubble to https://t.co/wCYrSipkUD. There’s simply no excuse not to: the site lists around 2,300 confirmed family survival appeals from Gaza, sorted so the most neglected appear first. It also provides ready-to-print flyers in multiple languages for easy distribution, among many other tools.

We will keep improving the platform where we can and are exploring ways to expand its reach more effectively and organically. But the support for families desperately trying to survive this ongoing genocide *must not depend on that*. The tools are already here - so use them!
