₹19,000 crore.

That is what Banks collected in last 3 years just for not maintaining ‘Minimum Account Balance.’

Not from the rich. Not from big borrowers.
From the poorest accounts in the system.
Their crime? They didn’t have enough money.

A farmer misses the minimum balance - Penalty.
A pensioner withdraws money for medicine - Penalty.
A daily wage worker falls short by a few hundred rupees - Penalty.

The poor keep money in banks for safety. Not to be quietly fined for being poor.

Financial inclusion should protect small savings, not punish small balances.

In Parliament today I proposed ending minimum balance penalties so the banking system stops charging people for their poverty.

Prepaid Recharge Customers के साथ हो रही लूट का मुद्दा आज मैंने Parliament में उठाया।

(a) अगर आपका recharge खत्म हो जाए तो Outgoing Calls बंद होना समझ में आता है, लेकिन Incoming Calls बंद करना मनमानी है।रिचार्ज खत्म होते ही न कोई आपसे संपर्क कर सकता है और न ही आपके फोन पर OTP जैसे जरूरी मैसेज आ पाते हैं। Emergency के हालातों में व्यक्ति बेसहारा हो जाता है।

(b) 28 दिन का Recharge plan एक scam है। साल में महीने 12 होते हैं लेकिन रिचार्ज 13 बार करवाना पड़ता है (28 days x 13 times = 364 days).
Recharge plan की वैधता calender months (30–31 दिन) के हिसाब से होनी चाहिए, क्योंकि 28 दिन के चक्कर में लोगों को साल भर में एक अतिरिक्त रिचार्ज करवाना पड़ता है।

मोबाइल आज के समय में Luxury नहीं, बल्कि आम नागरिक की Necessity बन चुका है।

इसलिए टेलीकॉम कंपनियों को उपभोक्ताओं के साथ Fair और Transparent रवैया रखना चाहिए।

Even politicians are punished many times, at least they get defeated and made to sit at home.
But govt officers, who are actually responsible for most unfortunate incidents, face almost no real consequences.
In most cases, the maximum punishment they get is a transfer or a temporary suspension. Once the matter cools down, they are back in service.
This is the real problem with India’s system. It needs urgent reform. There must be a provision for permanent termination, otherwise there will never be accountability.

The death of this innocent man in Noida is neither the first nor the last such incident. It will keep happening unless we go hard against erring officers.
Politicians fail because they fail to control officials.

The persecution of Hindus continues in Bangladesh.

A case which hasn’t received enough attention by international mainstream media is the lunching of Dipu Chandra Das.

The 26-year-old Hindu garment factory worker in Bhaluka was the sole breadwinner for his family, including a disabled father, mother, wife, and child.

In Friday, he was brutally lynched by an Islamist mob following unproven allegations of blasphemy (he was accused of insulting Islam and the Prophet).

The accusation stemmed from a workplace dispute, where a Muslim coworker allegedly falsely claimed Das made derogatory remarks to escalate a trivial conflict.

The mob severely beat him, hung him from a tree, and set him on fire while filming it on their phones.

Ever since the Islamist forces toppled PM Sheikh Hasina last year, Islamist forces have been on a rampage killing Hindus and other minorities, burning their villages and looting their businesses.

The video of his murder has gone viral in the worldwide Hindu community, angering millions of people.

Meanwhile, the new leader of Bangladesh, Muhammad Yunus, is still treated as a celebrity by the international community, never receiving any difficult questions or criticism despite the Islamist violence spreading across Bangladesh.

Arnav Khaire, 19, was a first-year science student at Kelkar College, Mulund.

According to his father, he was travelling to college in a local train when a minor argument with a few passengers escalated into language chauvinism. They assaulted him for speaking in Hindi, an unexpected and deeply jarring experience for a teenager who had never faced such aggression.

The suddenness of the attack, the humiliation, and the fear of being targeted for something as basic as language created an intense psychological shock. Overwhelmed, Arnav got off at Thane, took another, and went home. Even hours later, he remained visibly distressed. He told his father he was scared, uneasy, and experiencing intense anxiety, classic signs of acute stress after a traumatic event.

Despite his father’s reassurance, the emotional aftermath was too heavy. Arnav couldn’t process the sudden psychological blow and died by suicide.

Now Arnav will never speak Hindi again. I hope that makes those chauvinists feel satisfied.
