What a monumental week for anaesthesia in #Burundi, coinciding with #WAD2025 World Anaesthesia Day on October 16th! We are thrilled to announce the official launch of #VAST @VASTLearning (Vital Anaesthesia Simulation Training) – a key partnership between @abpcaar and VAST Ltd. led by @RwibukaG (President of @abpcaar | Project Manager | National VAST Coordinator for Burundi | Regional Director VAST Ltd.) to advance anaesthesia education and patient safety.

Over the week, we rolled out three transformative courses at @insp_burundi:

VAST Wellbeing: Focused on equipping our dedicated healthcare professionals with crucial strategies to manage stress and prevent burnout (25 participants).

VAST Course: An intensive, simulation-based training where multidisciplinary teams honed critical non-technical skills by managing realistic emergency scenarios (25 participants).

VAST Facilitator's Course: Empowering a core group of local leaders with the skills to design and deliver high-quality simulation training, ensuring the sustainability of VAST in Burundi (14 participants).

A profound thank you to all the enthusiastic participants from across the country and our exceptional local faculty (6 Faculty Members). What a meaningful way to celebrate World Anaesthesia Day—by investing in the future of safer anaesthesia care in Burundi!

L'Association Burundaise des Praticiens Cliniques Avancés Anesthésistes Réanimateurs @abpcaar a le plaisir d'annoncer officiellement le lancement de notre programme de formation en anesthésie basé sur la simulation.

Le projet "Renforcer l'Éducation de l'Anesthésie au Burundi à travers la Formation VAST et l'Intégration de l'Année de Fondation VAST" débutera la semaine du 13 octobre 2025.
