The Turkish lobby is throwing a tantrum in New York over @NYCMayor's principled recognition of the Armenian Genocide and condemnation of Azerbaijan's ethnic cleansing of Artsakh.
Guess they missed the memo – New York isn't the 'Istanbul of America' anymore.
@s_m_marandi This is not Gaza
This is not Lebanon.
This was Nagorno-Karabakh in 2020, during a raging pandemic.
#Azerbaijan did this, backed by 🇮🇱Israel and 🇹🇷Turkey.
No punishment, nothing.

Peace for Azerbaijan =
1) An ethnically cleansed Artsakh with 0 Armenians
2) Armenian hostages being held in Baku dungeons
3) Azerbaijani troops occupying 241 squared kilometers (93 squared miles) of Armenia’s sovereign territory.
Such peaceful living.
Aliyev says Azerbaijanis must return to Armenia, "their historical lands." He says Tsarist Russia settled Armenians in the South Caucasus, thus denying that they're indigenous.
Aliyev is implicitly referencing the "Western Azerbaijan" project here, and it's happening more and more as "peace" draws nearer.
This is two years after AZ ethnically cleansed the entire Armenian population of Nagorno-Karabakh, promising that they'd have the "right of return"--a promise that has been abandoned by both sides.
The #Artsakh identity is an inseparable part of the Armenian identity. In matters concerning the rights of Artsakh Armenians, we will work in two directions: ensuring a dignified life in #Armenia and the internationally [already] guaranteed right to return.
Looking back to Armenia’s 25th Independence Day Parade in 2016 — a day filled with pride, strength, and unity.
At that time, Artsakh was not yet occupied, and Armenia stood side by side with Artsakh, carrying the hope of a shared future.
The memory of that moment now feels even more precious, reminding us of what we had, what we’ve lost, and what we must continue to fight for.

1/ The first flight - Il-76 flew from Baku to Tel Aviv (#Israel). Recently Azerbaijan has been transporting weapons from Ovda and Eilat (possibly temporarily returning them for war in Gaza).

Under the agreement between Türkiye and China, it is said that 3 million Uyghur Turks will be brought to Türkiye.

If true, it is big!
Turkey and China engaging in collaborative demographic engineering, by bringing Turkic groups to the Middle East to support Turkish expansionism against the Kurds and to help Beijing decrease US pressure on China.

On Artsakh’s Independence Day, clergy together with officials from Artsakh and Armenia, led by Bishop Vrtanes Abrahamyan, head of the Diocese of Artsakh, consecrated the monument “The Call of Artsakh” at Yerablur Military Pantheon. The memorial honors the heroes killed in the Artsakh wars, compatriots buried in Artsakh, and victims of the September 25 fuel depot explosion. At the same time, it serves as a sacred resting place for families forced to leave their beloved behind in Artsakh, a sanctuary where they can pray, mourn, and feel close once again to those they cannot reach.
Sculptor Robert Askaryan, who created the monument, said it symbolizes the unbreakable bond with Artsakh: “The roots of Artsakh do not dry out and will always remain in the soil.” Architects Vladimir and Mikael Sargsyan shaped the monument to carry that enduring message.
Arthur Vanetsyan, chairman of the Homeland Party and former director of Armenia’s National Security Service, was central to the project. Together with his family, he financed the construction and stood with the parents of the fallen during the consecration. He later revealed that authorities had tried to obstruct the ceremony by issuing threats, cutting the lights, and banning loudspeakers, but even in silence the grief and presence of the families spoke louder than words.
Initiated by Artsakh’s leadership and realized through the devotion of the Vanetsyan family, the monument rises two years after the forced displacement of Armenians from Artsakh. Today it stands as both memorial and sanctuary, uniting sorrow with resilience and carrying forward the eternal bond with Artsakh.
