Such a neat experience being involved with @UWBadgerAP as part of the research track of @UWHealthSports PT residency. Amy and I are working with Dr. Cobian and Dr. Knurr to explore aspects of quadriceps performance and RUN/JUMP knee kinetics post-ACLR in D1 athletics.
Join us Thursday to discuss quad atrophy post ACLR with Meredith Owen, PhD and @MC_Grahamer from the UK BioMotion Lab. This should be a fantastic webinar!
Want to up your game using Neuromuscular Electrical Stimulation (NMES)
Tune in to our #JOSPTInsights revisited episode w/ Drs Elanna Arhos and Naoaki Ito, who give us a rundown on using NMES, including recommended set-up and dosages

Really nice breakdown of how BFR combined with treadmill walking improves endurance performance measures even in elite level athletes!
Great work @Dr_Burr and crew!
There are 0 top 4 seeds in the Semifinal, a complete and overwhelming validation of the expansion to 12 teams. Have to wonder who in the last decade might have won a Championship if given a chance.
@Jiaqing_Xu96 Thank you! Figure 4 was a great visual of the different force-time traces and associated RSI values.
Is there normative data regarding RSI values (i.e. below average, average, above average) for these different tests?
Excellent review of different assessments to evaluate fast SSC capacity from @Jiaqing_Xu96 et al. Stacked author group.
Most common tests include: drop jump, max 5-rebound jump, 10-5 rebound jump.
Metrics: RSI, GCT, jump height, and leg stiffness.

Two presentations by current/fmr BAP members featured in Science Meets Practice tomorrow, 11a-1p! #APTACSM@KeithKnurr: Effect of Running Speed on Knee Mechanics Symmetry 9mo s/p ACLR
@abroderick8: Quad Performance 3mo s/p ACLR is Associated with Running Mechanics 1yr Post ACLR
One point missed on last night’s Field of Dreams game. Iowa is an awesome state. They are like Nebraskans in that they are so nice you can’t believe it. Also Des Moines is one of those “I had no idea” how good a living city it is
Tonight is the first-ever @MLB Field of Dreams game. Learn how Hawkeye grad W.P. Kinsella's best-known story took shape at the University of Iowa and later became a Hollywood classic. https://t.co/WxyXQmP569
Making sure that we are training the brain here in clinic today with multiple early phase post ACLR athletes. Easy way to incorporate sport and challenge early on (and fun). Hoping @MeredithChaput and @Dusty_Grooms are proud!! Thanks for all of your hard work.
@clarkjf@MeredithChaput @Dusty_Grooms @FriendsOfNVT Taking away vision to rely more on joint proprioception and vestibular sense while still incorporating sports related tasks. Is there a better set up? Sure — but it was cheap, fun, and can keep them involved at practice while on sidelines.
Finishing up the last bit of didactic work as part of @UWHealthSports PT residency with Liz Chumanov. She's an absolute legend explaining statistical variables and how to interpret/apply those variables in PT research. Thanks for all of your help, Liz!!
