Previously #TTP claimed responsibility then suddenly denied involvement while a new group TIF not IMP claimed responsibility.
Tahafiz Imarat Islami force ( resemblance to Emirates of Afghanistan) claimed responsibility.
I personally believe TTP carried out an attack while claimed by EIA as revenge to the airstrikes.
A lot of allegations are made against each other by both #PTI and #PakArmy for bringing back terrorists after Zarb e azab .
My honest opinion The resurgence of terrorism wasn’t caused by one actor alone —,it was the result of misjudged policies by both the #PTI government and the military, combined with the #Afghan Taliban’s unwillingness to curb TTP activities.
Operation Zarb-e-Azb (2014–2017) by the Pakistan Army successfully dismantled most TTP strongholds in North #Waziristan.
Thousands of militants were killed or displaced, and cross-border movement to #Afghanistan increased.
In 2014 #US forces evacuated from all border areas after start of Doha negotiations. This gave the terrorists a space to breath . Afghan Taliban focus was on Afghanistan only .
Afghan Taliban asked all the Pakistani militants to stop attacking any border posts of PakArmy . Afghan Taliban Governer Pir aga that time directly engaged with TTP and HGB to maintain peace at border. The purpose was to use the border areas as safe heavy by both TTP and Afghan taliban leadership. As both lost the only safe house of north wazristan due to Zarb e azab . However HGB and TTP were allowed to send thashkils deep inside Pakistan territory.
By 2017, terrorism in Pakistan had dropped sharply.
After the fall of #Kabul in 2021, the Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) found safe haven in Afghanistan under the Afghan Taliban regime.
From there, they reorganized, recruited, and launched attacks back into Pakistan — mainly in KPK and Balochistan .
The Imran Khan government publicly supported talks with the TTP, and under pressure from the Afghan Taliban negotiators , allowed some militants to resettle in KP. This was meant as a “peace initiative,” but it gave TTP room to regroup.
After 2021, Afghanistan became a safe sanctuary for TTP, which Pakistan can’t fully control. The refusal of Afghan Taliban to act against TTP is one of the biggest reasons for resurgence.
The Army and ISI hoped that the Afghan Taliban, once in power, would help neutralize or restrain TTP.
The belief was that since both were ideologically linked and had old ties, the Afghan Taliban could convince TTP to stop attacks.
Instead, once the Taliban took Kabul (Aug 2021), they refused to act against TTP, viewing them as “brothers.”
One party can't be blamed. It was fault of all military and political leaderships that took charges after Rahil Sharif .
Rahil Sharif brought terrorism to almost zero while Bajwa handed over charge to #AsimMunir when large parts of KPK were already under heavy influence of terrorists. Gen Bajwa and political leadership both PLMN and PTI were too busy to play dirty politics while terrorists were regrouping and created a state inside a state .
The same defence minister who now declared Afghanistan as enemy state was openly celebrating the US defeat and Taliban takeover of Afghanistan, so only blaming PTI is 100% unjust . All are Equal responsible.
