रामपुर में #जौहर_यूनिवर्सिटी पर बुलडोज़र चलेगा. ये खबर सुनकर स्तब्ध हूँ. 2006 में बनी यूनिवर्सिटी को लेकर प्रशासन को अब होश आया है कि ये गलत तरीक़े से बनाया गया है. यूनिवर्सिटी पर बुलडोज़र वही चला सकता है जो शिक्षा के महत्व को नहीं समझता हो. इतना बड़ा कैंपस, उतनी शानदार यूनिवर्सिटी पर बुलडोज़र चलाने वालों के हाथ नहीं काँपेंगे? कोई भी विश्वविद्यालय शिक्षा का मंदिर होता है. जो बनने के बाद किसी एक व्यक्ति का नहीं रह जाता. हज़ारों स्टूडेंट जो वहाँ पढ़ाई कर रहे हैं उनका भविष्य तो अधर में चला जायेगा.

बेहतर तो ये होगा कि सरकार उसे अपने अधीन कर ले और चलाये यूनिवर्सिटी .
मगर उसे तोड़ना पूरी तरह से गलत है. सरासर गलत.

#WATCH | Imphal East, Manipur: A massive protest rally was organised by the Koirengei Awang Apunba Meira Paibi, with hundreds of women taking to the streets to press for a series of demands. The key demands raised during the protest included the implementation of the National Register of Citizens (NRC) before the upcoming census, ensuring free movement along national highways, a military crackdown on alleged narco-terrorist activities, and the immediate cessation of the resettlement of internally displaced persons (IDPs).

The protesters also raised concerns over what they termed a “proxy war” and alleged that national highways should not be used by narco-terrorist groups. Demonstrators stressed the need for stronger action to restore law and order and ensure public safety.

In Parliament today I proposed optional Joint filing of Income Tax Returns for married couples.

Family A
Both spouses earn ₹10 lakh each.
Total household income is ₹20 lakh.
Tax: zero

Family B
One spouse earns ₹20 lakh. The other stays home to raise their child.
Total household income is ₹20 lakh.
Tax: ₹1.92 lakh

The only difference is how the salary is split between the two spouses.

One roof. One kitchen. One household budget. But when tax time comes, the family disappears.

The tax system sees two individuals. A husband and wife become strangers. No clubbing of income or rebates.

In Parliament today I proposed optional joint filing of Income Tax Returns for married couples, so families with uneven incomes are not unfairly penalised. If implemented, then Family A and Family B both will pay Zero Tax.
