Here are some tips, I do this, and I am not in the services, nor are my family members. Laugh at it as paranoia but thank me silently
1. I don't post live pix of my locations. What you see are post event
2. I lie about when and where I am traveling. At airports or to the driver of my Uber/taxi I lie as a rule.
3. I dont chat up with random strangers telling them about my work or showing them pictures of family
3. To friends and family, I say "not telling". They laugh but understand that it is my training since childhood. My dad taught me.
4. I warn my immediate family who know my location, never to reveal where I am and who I am meeting.
5. At hotels, I resist giving my id with address. Instead I try using my press card and create a scene. I know it is unfair but I will do everything possible to mislead. My billing address is my office or is a travel agent. I resist giving email ids or phone number at hotels. Give land line number. I give wrong date of birth.
6. I use different routes to work or home. As far as possible not be predictable. I give fake names for table reservation. I reach early and walk around the location and then sit at the table. In a movie theatre, I ask for seating near the exit. I always pay attention to exits from buildings
6. Do this even if you are under no threat. Those who were killed yesterday must have also thought they were not targets.
The visual of a tourist with his pants down and a bullet in his head tells the entire story of what terrorism is. No intellectual masturbation will paper over this.
Kashmiris should realise who their biggest enemies are. All livelihood ruined in one shot.
I am extremely overwhelmed by the support and wishes that have been coming in. Winning 2 bronze medals is a dream come true. This achievement is not just mine but belongs to everyone who has believed in me and supported me along the way. I couldn't have done it without the unwavering support of my family, Coach Jaspal Rana sir and everyone who stood by me, including the NRAI , TOPS , SAI, OGQ, Performax
& especially Haryana government. With all my well-wishers. Competing and performing at the biggest stage for my country is a moment of immense pride and joy.
Thank you all for being a part of this incredible journey and for standing by me through every step. Your encouragement means the world to me! A bittersweet end to my campaign in Paris but happy to contribute to #TeamINDIA's success. Jai Hind! 🇮🇳❤️
