@jmk1ng And yes it appears they're willing to gamble the life of their constituents as well as the economy to keep that power. To them it appears worth it. They're only waiting for a worse (potentially real) grievance instead of just BS ones so they can easily broaden their base.

@jmk1ng I think it's confusing because the conservative politicians like Ted Cruz are lying to their fundamental base. They are not in true alignment. The GOP is in the minority, so the goal is stoke grievance and hold on to power. Its a strategy that works pretty well unfortunately.
