Nobody tells you that some of your biggest milestones happen quietly. No party. No post. Just you, standing in your kitchen, realizing you finally feel okay.
This Lady on Tiktok cleaning her house said something that really stuck with me: “Take care of what God has already placed in your hands, so He knows you’re ready for what’s next. If you don’t steward what you have now, you can’t expect more.” And that hit. Wherever you are in life right now the small apartment, the job you’re still growing in, the season you didn’t plan for honor it. Be responsible with it. Be grateful for it. Growth starts with stewardship. 🫶🏾
I really do believe God brings the right things together at the right time. You don’t have to rush, force, or worry yourself into a blessing. He knows what you need, when you need it, and how to get it to you. Be patient and trust His timing. What’s meant for you will show up in a way that proves His hand was on it the entire time.
Proverbs 3:5-6
Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding;
in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.
The only plans I have for 2026, is to become more disciplined than ever, rebuild my nervous system and get out of fight or flight mode, and to fully surrender to God.. everything else that God has for me will come to me once I do those things first. ✨
Whatever you do, pray for the ability to see your own sins, your own hypocrisy, and your own shortcomings. Never lose sight of that. Never get so carried away, pointing fingers that you forget you, too, have abscesses that need tending.
I used to volunteer at the library and they had backpacks for kids experiencing different things like the birth of a sibling, death of a loved one, first day of school, etc. And inside the backpack would be a little care package, goodies, and books that talked about the situation and addressed their emotions in a child friendly way :’)
Before you sleep ask God to give you the strength to wait on him. Whether you’re waiting for healing, a miracle, a job, a change or academics, God hears you, keep praying. Psalms 130:5 says, I wait for the Lord, my whole being waits, and in his word I put my hope. May God help us
Happy birthday to the late Bessie Coleman, the first Black female aviator.
When Bessie Coleman developed an interest in flying, women and people of color had no flight training opportunities in the US.
She learnt French and moved to Paris to earn her pilot's license.
