Should they still refuse to refund (PayPal also sided with them) I will send the same evidence to my credit card issuer, who I’m sure will quite happily reverse the transaction.
The plot thickens. I enacted my right under UK data protection law to request all data Twitch @TwitchSupport held against me, including page views. The CSV they provided clearly shows me accessing the unsubscribe page 4 weeks ago. Surely they can’t refuse a refund now? Right?
Absolutely disgusted with Twitch customer support @TwitchSupport. I cancelled a Twitch sub several weeks ago (specifically remember choosing the "bad experience with streamer" reason) but just been charged again. Twitch support refusing to refund it even though it's their error
The hilarious thing is it would have cost Twitch a hell of a lot less money to just give me the £4 back! They must have wasted so much of their own resources dealing with my CS enquiries and data request.
Update: More emails to @TwitchSupport CS claiming I never cancelled (why would I have a fond memory of the cancel process?), won't refund. I've now cancelled all Twitch subs, blocked Twitch via PayPal and raised a PayPal dispute. Twitch closed the case and refuse to help further!
