Overdue update - after a total of 20 endoscopies over 2.5 months, the fistula healed completely! Two big events shifted the tide:
1) completion of chemotherapy
2) placement of percutaneous drain into cavity attached to low suction

Pt w/ hx of lymphoma complicated by esophageal pleural fistula (and bronchopleural fistula) w/ persistent large cavity/fistula despite multiple therapies most recently w/ nearly 2 months of endoscopic vacuum therapy w/ only marginal improvement.
