Not to be dramatic but I don’t think people quite understand how much of a disaster eliminating USPS would be. Like it would be end-of-this-country level of a disaster

The riveting first hand account of Colorado Parks and Wildlife and U.S. Forest Service employees risking the Gold Mountain Fire to hike into Nate Creek and catch native, endemic Uncompahgre cutthroat and hike them out to safety away from the fire.
Uncompahgre cutthroat are incredible, genetically distinct, native fish to the headwaters of the Colorado and Gunnison Basins. If these fish had disappeared in this fire, there would be no way to replace them. This type of fish, in conservation, is known as the Nate Creek “halotype” which means they have a unique genetic fingerprint found only in the Uncompahgre cutthroat.
Electrofishing is nonlethal fish stunning device that CPW hiked into the burn zone in heavy backpacks, escorted by forest service firefighters. Trout float to the top, recover in seconds, but are easily removed brought back down to the safety of the hatchery. All in all they netted around 100 Uncompahgre cutthroats, carrying them down in 5 gallon buckets (down a steep incline in the middle of a burn zone). When conditions improve, they’ll be hiked back in. Huge thanks to CPW and the Forest Service for protecting the Uncompahgre cutthroat.
The fact that HP disables your printer if you cancel your Instant Ink subscription is actually insane. What do you mean I can’t use the printer and ink I PAID FOR unless I keep paying a monthly subscription?
Peter Thiel Parker deadass used mass surveillance and they justified it using a crap gag one liner.. then you search up who made the movie and it all makes sense lmao
@luckytran Although, using "Lockdown(s)" provides a more accurate description of that time in our history and helps acknowledge that, even after institutions lifted such measures, folks kept (and still keep) getting infected with Covid-19.
Today during Mass a cell phone went off 4 or 5 times, being allowed to run its full course (so clearly an old person). The last time, after communion, the organist immediately launched into a lengthy improvisation on the ringtone melody.
your commuter rail runs every 90 minutes, doesn't run sundays, and stops at 9pm, and then the agency publishes a study concluding demand is low. yeah. i've also found that my oven bakes very few cakes when i don't turn it on.
"There's no way you can write a ten page paper without chatGPT"
WE COULD LITERALLY DO EVERYTHING THAT EVER HAPPENED IN HUMAN HISTORY WITHOUT CHATGPT WHAT THE ACTUAL FUCK ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT.
I’m not even going to hold your hand when I say this, but the data centres are not for your dumb AI chatbot. They’re for a global mass surveillance system, and it starts with those cunting Flock cameras.
NO ONE wants Data Centers. NO ONE wants their cars tracking your every movements. NO ONE wants Flock camera's. So who the fuck is installing them? And why are we just taking it???
Im surprised nobody ever mentions this, but the main reason the PS2 sold as well as it did was cause it also functioned as a DVD player, so its extra brain dead that Sony is killing physical media
