@PublixHelps Waiting until the last minute to decide to close the stores or reduce hours robs employees of the most crucial asset - the time they need to make their homes and families safe.

Once again @Publix/@PublixHelps is forcing its employees to travel in dangerous conditions so people can go to the grocery store during a hurricane. @WinnDixie is closing, @WalmartInc is closing, but Publix? Nah, they'll be open to the detriment of their #1 asset, their people.

@PublixHelps If Publix wanted to assure the safety of their associates, they would make the decision NOW to close the stores. Associates have families and kids and need to be able to prepare their own households for this storm.

@PublixHelps Closures should be announced now and associates be allowed time to prepare. The decision not to close your stores in the projected path of the storm is driven solely by greed. Your associates are your best asset. Treat them with respect and consider their safety.

Make the decision to close the stores now, just for a day. Your customers will understand that the safety of your associates is paramount.
