@EmilyRogawski People will throw that around, but FIFA also rescinded Ronaldo’s Red Card from World Cup qualifying that would have ruled him out for some group stage matches. So, this isn’t a one off.
@awfulannouncing EPL, Mexican league, Champions League post great tv ratings weekly. Just not covered by tv shows like first take and get up etc. Soccer is mainstream, MLS is the league that needs to make the mainstream tv breakthrough. Local attendance for matches are strong though.
@savanah2j if Argentina/Messi get bumped tonight to Cape Verde 1) Does that ruin Messi’s World Cup legacy, possible GOAT status with the lore of Maradona still being around? 2) Would that be what we remember him for? Obviously if they win they just move on.
