@HermitagePrim@abc_OCTF@ArgyllButeSTEM This is fantastic to see. @HermitagePrim, I am a former pupil from 1986-1991, and have many fond memories of my time at Hermitage Primary. Outdoor learning plays a very big part of my work, and I am keen to give back in some way. Just let me know if this is of interest. Alec 😃
@fionalarkin13@LouiseDaySLT This is so, so beautiful, and CANNOT WAIT to visit one of your sessions in the near future, and welcoming you all to our intergenerational choir gathering in April, you too @LouiseDaySLT!! X
Many thanks, Sonny Jacobs of That's TV, for the opportunity! We met in Union Terrace Gardens this morning, and the main theme of the interview was about one of ACE Voices' core missions i.e. building bridges between people of all ages, communities, and people/wider natural world.
If you have a spare moment, you might see a short interview with me about ACE Voices on @ThatsTVOfficial, Channel 8 (Local Freeview) as part of their 5.30pm/6.30pm news bulletins today. Thanks so much, Emma Baxter of Grow Free Community, for putting ACE Voices forward.
By changing my perspective to this vision/way of being, I don't need to worry about constantly dropping the balls, and I can enjoy helping the garden grow and flourish, trusting that it will grow in its own time, and without my constant attention.
When tending to this beautiful Lemon Balm plant, gifted to my new office by Juliet Robertson (thanks, Juliet!), I was reflecting on a recent conversation when I was asked by someone whom I've been working with since she was 7 (now 20-21), 'How are you doing today?'
Lucinda and Paul are two of the best music educators I have ever worked with, and I would highly, highly recommend taking part for your own personal, professional and community development!
Wishing Lucinda Geoghegan and Paul Whittaker from @NYCOScotland all the very, very best with the launch of their free 'Sing, Sign and Play' courses, starting in Aberdeen today, Inverness tomorrow and Glasgow on 30th November.
These wonderful courses will introduce a new resource exploring how to weave BSL, singing, Kodály and play together in innovative and inclusive ways. I loved being part of the development of the precursors to this resource through NYCoS' Loving Learning Through Music project.
First full day in ACE Voices' new office/home/HQ at Balgownie Lodge, Bridge of Don! Thank-you so much, @AbsafeAberdeen, Love Rara CIC, and Aberdeen Innovation Park for helping to make this happen! Watch this space for more info on this new chapter of our ACE Voices' journey 😃.
Saturday 14th September 2024 was a magical day of intentional, #intergenerational togetherness. Thank-you so much to @GenerationsWT for trusting us @acevoices and @heathryburn to help facilitate your final Intergenerational Learning Roadshow of 2024 in Aberdeen!
These wonderful photos are courtesy of A.D. Photography. Thanks so much, Annie, for committing to the whole day, and helping us capture many beautiful moments. THANKS too to Eilidh McArthur and Charlie for supporting us with live reflections through art during the roadshow!
Watch this space for more stories, special guest spotlights, and photos, but at the moment, I would like to say a heartfelt thank-you to our intergenerational and inclusive leadership team from 10-70s for your courage, resilience and kindness shown throughout the day!
