@HannahtheNinja quality have yet to end. for them, its become quantity > quality. i dont think one chicago is going to last as long as these shows though. i give them few more seasons.

1. its normal to lose characters and have new ones replace them on long
running shows

2. the shows are not good and this should be the last season. but its not going to be. why? for the same reason svu, greys, ncis, other running long shows that have dipped in

@HannahtheNinja a lot of these apply to many other actors/characters. cast exits have always been announced by deadline 1st and then the actors post about it or talk about it in an interview later.

@HannahtheNinja @DebbieSzalanski it wasnt their choice to leave. quality wise, the shows havent been good imo. but atp they care more about quantity than quality when it comes to renewing/continuing the shows. i wasnt comparing it to greys. i just used greys as an example. it applies to almost any long running

@lvjk no. it could still be budget issues. new cast members are much cheaper than older cast members. fire could be losing cast member too. their season finale ended with cliffhanger of few characters in danger.

@chicago_fires they dont have to pay her as much as him. but its definitely racism they get rid of the only 2 black main actors they’ve had on this show almost back to back. toya in s12 and laroyce in s14.

@FLOJAREAUS @imjustwritingg wrong. marina wont be on show for long either. they havent been doing much with her character. her and paddy will leave together. even if she never wants to leave, doesnt mean they will always want to keep her. so many actors have had to leave that didnt want to.
