"The deadline we set has expired. From now on, any launch of balloons or kites from Gaza toward southern Israeli communities will be met with a severe response."

Katz added that on Netanyahu's instructions, the IDF will take all necessary measures, including evacuating populations, to ensure Hamas cannot return to its methods of killing and threatening residents of the south, as before October 7th.
