Still the best moment ever, and nobody will ever talk me down from it.
Always loved this view of the final out. Happy two year anniversary, Cubs fans. On this date in 2016, the Chicago Cubs WON THE WORLD SERIS! 8-7 in 10!
@jdyjohns @crawlyscubs Apparently, I read/saw that both teams don’t get an extra player for the doubleheader tomorrow because of the “expanded rosters” in September.
@ilannfl18 Here’s the funny thing: his 6/$115 mil extension doesn’t start until NEXT season 🤣
So he’s almost outperformed that contract without even actually playing under that actual extension yet
@sarahbdaly @Cubs @NuveenInv Yeah, it’s 100% valid. But they absolutely will be DFA’d for when Steele/Brown/Milner/Cabrera and even Shelby Miller are activated from IL. But don’t worry, Assad will be back sooner rather than later
@sarahbdaly @Cubs @NuveenInv And I guarantee that Assad will be back soon with the team within the next week or so
@sarahbdaly @Cubs @NuveenInv Yeah, he’s under one year deals until 2029 when he becomes a FA. And 100% it sucks to see him keep getting sent down, but it’s not because he’s being punished. Thielbar, Thornton and someone else will be DFA’d soon enough when Steele, Brown and Milner come back from IL
@sarahbdaly @Cubs @NuveenInv Assad is under team control through 2029. He’s not going anywhere. He has minor league options, so that’s why he keeps getting sent down. It’s not that serious.
ladies and gentlemen, this is the moment you’ve waited for… 𝐰𝐞𝐥𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐞 𝐛𝐚𝐜𝐤 𝟖𝟖‼️‼️
@FatiguedInChi @cody__cubs Unfortunately the rule is when a position player is pitching on the mound, ABS challenges cannot be used
@stoolpresidente Shut the hell up.
From North Carolina...
Welcome to Chicago, Caleb Wilson!
@Tonythemac1 @cody__cubs Yes. Brice Turang was ranked #62 in the Top 100 list and Jose Altuve was ranked #81, but they’re behind Nico in the Top 10 2B list
This week’s edition of “good, better, best”.
Believe it.
THE BEARS ARE SO BACK 🐻
