@FitTaxBlueprint Thing is it doesn't have to be skating. It can be hiking, biking, martial arts, tennis, whatever. If you have a focus, something you want to get better at and use exercise to reach your goals you will be way more consistent than exercise for the sake of it.
@FitTaxBlueprint I've been fairly consistent the last 3 years. For me it was working toward something. I went to the gym, hated it, spent little time and then complained that I made no progress.
Then I started skating again. It's fun and I have focus. I exercise to get better at tricks I want.
With the player defensive rolls I think it'll make it feel like turns come twice as fast. Makes it easy as a DM too. Two goblins attack you make two defense rolls. Take d6 damage if you fail to defend. Then they do all the work.
My current group is wrapping up a campaign. The DM is burnt out so I'm thinking of stepping up and running Tonisborg. Been running some solo sessions and getting a feel for it. There is so much going on in this dungeon. So many plot hooks. I really hope they agree to play it.
I'm thinking of running it in Index Card RPG. It's the system I'm most familiar with and the conversation is super easy. It's also fast. Our group has gotten big. Sometimes up to 8 players and there's been complaints for how long turns take.
@MikeSyl36625988 You know what's crazy. I don't work for a firm I work in a company. 2080 hours. Pay my own prep course, my own fees, study on my own time but make twice the amount of the higher offer. I'm struggling with the exams and firm experience could help but don't think they'd pay enough.
@osgamer74 The only time I've heard magician used in a fantasy setting was in The Last Unicorn. King Haggard calls Mabruk a magicians magician.
In this case magician was considered an entertainer for the king. Wizards would be more powerful with bigger jobs. Maybe thats why it's not used.
@Jmcgowan3838 It made accounting feel attainable. I left his class thinking I can't believe I can make money doing something so easy. I felt that way until I hit cost accounting. π
@Jmcgowan3838 The teacher that got me into started with a question. What's a debit and what's a credit? He let the class debate a bit and then said I want you to forget all that. A debit is a place on the right side and a credit is a place on the left side. That's all you need to know.
@Blackmoor_Film I think I have a pea brain too. π I actually do play in a monthly 5e game and we have a ton of fun but comparatively being a PC in 5e is way more stressful than DMing my kids games in ICRPG. There's a lot of abilities and steps to remember in 5e.
@the____yan As I think about it, if you lived in a county that shares a border with North Korea, I think you'd want your military to be aggressive and unrelenting. There's a good reason South Korea still stands and part of that is due to women like the four in this show.
Finally got my Lost Dungeons of Tonisborg book. I thought it would just be the dungeon but it's a treasure trove of history, DM guides, items, monsters, maps and more. It's way more than I anticipated. Thanks @Blackmoor_Film and The Fellowship of the Thing for your hard work.
@IraGilligan@AtlantaTax@Toyota I have a Pontiac Vibe which was a colab with Toyota. Bought it used and have had it for 14 years. Just this year I thought about trading it in for a Toyota minivan, then said naw I'll wait till next year. I guess I have two more years to keep procrastinating. π
