Never forget how India’s so called 'liberal ecosystem' defended Tahir Hussain.

When Intelligence Bureau officer Ankit Sharma was murdered during the Delhi riots in 2020 and his body was recovered from a drain, the ecosystem did not stand with Ankit’s family.

It rushed to manufacture victimhood for the accused.

The likes of Rana Ayyub declared that Tahir had been arrested merely “because he’s a Hussain.” Others portrayed him as an innocent Muslim being framed by a vindictive Hindu-majoritarian state. Every uncomfortable fact was dismissed as propaganda. Every demand for justice was labelled communal.

Today, a Delhi court - not the BJP, not television anchors, not “WhatsApp University” - has convicted former AAP councillor Tahir Hussain of murder, kidnapping, promoting enmity and rioting in the killing of Ankit Sharma.

The mask has fallen.

For this ecosystem, the presumption of innocence is sacred when the accused suits its politics. But a murdered Hindu becomes an inconvenient footnote, his family’s grief erased because acknowledging his killers would destroy their preferred narrative of the Delhi riots.

They did not merely get the story wrong.

They attempted to reverse the roles of victim and perpetrator to turn a convicted murderer into a symbol of persecution and bury Ankit Sharma twice: once in a drain, and again beneath their propaganda.

Never forget the crime.

And never forget those who defended the criminal.

Honest feedback for the GoI to consider, offered as a well-wisher:

1. E20 is a massive issue. Just because people aren't protesting in the streets doesn't mean it isn't. There is a simmering anger everywhere.

2. The root cause of this mess is singular: someone decided it was acceptable to ignore the National Policy on Biofuels 2018's plan to introduce E20 in 2030, which would have allowed older, non-compliant vehicles to phase out naturally. Instead, E20 was rolled out despite the fact that most vehicles on the road are not calibrated to run on it.

3. There is no "lobby" behind this public frustration. If the govt believes there is, they should expose the nexus and let citizens decide for themselves. Otherwise, ministers and spokespersons are only making things worse by using "lobbies" and "deep states" as defensive arguments.

4. Vehicle performance is suffering. Drivers are experiencing a drop in mileage and damage to parts. After months of denial, even Nitin Gadkari and Hardeep Puri have acknowledged "some issues" with Ethanol.

5. If the goal is true energy security, the focus and push must shift toward EVs, alongside exploring nuclear energy as a primary power source. The govt should encourage and incentivize EV adoption through subsidies and a robust infrastructure network. Ethanol, in the way it is currently being implemented, is doing more harm than good.

6. The solution is to provide a choice between E0 and E20. If the current fuel infrastructure cannot support both, E20 should be rolled back to E10 until 2030. This will allow older cars and bikes to be phased out naturally before moving forward. And also, do not introduce E27 or whatever is next till the new fleet is E27 compliant and all E20 cars are phased out, unless there is an infrastructure in place to dispense both in future.

Many BJP spokespersons are foolish, uninformed, and arrogant.

They do not read about or understand the issues for which the govt is facing criticism before participating in TV debates or writing on social media. The only things they specialize in are shooting the messengers and using anecdotal arguments to claim that any criticism against the govt is a conspiracy by some lobby or the deep state. To them, the actual issue is not important; it is never addressed on its merits but simply dismissed as a conspiracy against India.

Such spokespersons do not add any value to the BJP. In fact, they repel potential voters with their arrogance, superficial arguments, and refusal to engage in meaningful dialogue.

इथेनॉल के लिए उपजाए गन्ने, चावल या मक्का को किसी विशेष मूल्य पर अलग से नहीं लिया जाता। मंत्री यहाँ शब्दों से खेलते हैं। फिर कोई FAQ रिलीज होता है, मीडिया उसी को रिपीट करती है, फॉलोअप प्रश्न पूछे नहीं जाते, मंत्री अपनी ही क्लिप स्वयं शेयर करते हैं।

मैंने राहुल शिवशंकर के साथ का साक्षात्कार सुना, उसमे भी खूब आँकड़े दिए गए कि किसानों को कितना करोड़ दे दिया, कितना करोड़ फोरेक्स बचाया ब्ला ब्ला ब्ला!

यह पूछने पर कि E10 या शुद्ध पेट्रोल का विकल्प क्यों नहीं दिया, तो @HardeepSPuri ने कहा: विकल्प अच्छे का देते हैं, ख़राब का नहीं।

इस बकलोली का उत्तर यह है: E10 या शुद्ध पेट्रोल उन गाड़ियों के लिए अच्छा विकल्प है जिसकी इंजन उसी फ्यूल के लिए बनी हो, जिसकी संख्या २० करोड़ के आस-पास है। यानी, हरदीप पुरी के ही कथनानुसार, सरकार जानबूझकर २० करोड़ गाड़ियों को घटिया विकल्प दे रही है।

१. किसानों की आय कैसे बढ़ाती है इथेनॉल? क्या किसान इथेनॉल बना कर भेजता है? किसान पहले भी धान-गन्ना-मक्का उगाता था, आज भी वही कर रहा है।

२. सड़कें सही करने से विदेशी तेल पर निर्भरता, इथेनॉल मिक्सिंग से 5-7 गुणा अधिक कम होगी।

३. जो ‘सच्चाई’ @HardeepSPuri बता रहे हैं, वह आधा है। यह क्यों नहीं बताते कि ये सब फ्यूल आपने उपभोक्ता के इंजन की कम्पैटिबिलिटी देखे बिना जबरन डाला है?

४. इथेनॉल से समस्या नहीं है, समस्या तुम्हारे और @nitin_gadkari के झूठ से है जिसने भारत के 04/2023 के पहले बीस करोड़ पेट्रोल इंजन में जबरन ऐसा फ्यूल डलवाया जिसके लिए वो तैयार नहीं थे।

घूम-घूम कर बकलोली करने से अच्छा है कि इंजन की #% मारना बंद करो, E10 और शुद्ध पेट्रोल का विकल्प हर पम्प पर दो।
