A very special day for me in Kolkata.
Grateful to Hon’ble Chief Minister @SuvenduWB for gracing the occasion as we mark the beginning of the Adani Arogya Mandir.
This 2,000-bed, not-for-profit hospital, will be built around a modern medical college, advanced research and care facilities and the use of technology and digital health to shape the future of medicine in Bengal.
For us, the Adani Arogya Mandir is part of a much larger commitment to Bengal to build world-class physical and digital infrastructure while helping preserve the extraordinary cultural heritage that gives this land its unique identity.
বাংলা জাগবে। বাংলা এগোবে।
Foundation stone was laid for the 2,000-bed Adani Arogya Mandir in Kolkata by West Bengal CM Suvendu Adhikari in the presence of Gautam Adani, marking an investment of over Rs 4,000 crore.
Spread across 51.75 acres, the project is expected to cater to over 2 lakh inpatients and over 2 Mn outpatients annually and generate approximately 10,000 jobs across the multidisciplinary healthcare ecosystem.
Envisioned as a world-class Academic Medical Centre and a comprehensive healthcare ecosystem for Eastern India and beyond, the Adani Arogya Mandir campus will feature a medical college, College of Nursing and an institution for allied healthcare and paramedical education.
An investment of over Rs 1 lakh crore was also announced by Gautam Adani for infrastructure projects across West Bengal by 2035.
With the launch of the Adani Arogya Mandir, we are privileged to embark on a meaningful journey in West Bengal. The state holds immense potential and we look forward to being a partner in its progress.
Adani Arogya Mandir, the proposed healthcare institution at Kolkata’s New Town, will be a world-class, not-for-profit facility for West Bengal, Eastern India and beyond.
Spread across 51.75 acres, it will be a comprehensive healthcare ecosystem with a multi-speciality hospital, a medical college, research facilities and accommodation for patients' relatives.
Of the 2,000 beds, a thousand will cater to economically weaker sections of society, eligible under state and central health insurance schemes.
Gautam Adani said that the Group will invest over Rs 4,000 crore in the hospital, college and research facilities. The institution is expected to generate more than 10,000 jobs across the healthcare ecosystem in the state.
