Benchmarking indicates that #VALIS also provides state-of-the-art accuracy, being the most accurate opensource method in the @acrobat_2022 challenge, among the top methods in the ANHIR challenge, and outperforming 3D tissue reconstruction methods tested by Kartasalo et al. 2018
Beyond excited to share that our WSI registration software, #VALIS, is out in @NatureComms https://t.co/bw71MEIlWa! #VALIS was designed to be flexible and easy to use, and so here is a quick tweetorial of some of the things #VALIS can do that may aid you in your research
Leaderboard with published code only:
1. Chandler Gatenbee (123.3µm) @cgatenbee
2. Team AGHSSO (137.6µm) @MarekWodzinski
3. Team NEMESIS (200.5µm) @jelmerwolterink
Code for the respective submissions is available from here:

The final ranking is now available at https://t.co/U36i2XLmcd
Participants were ranked on the median 90th percentile of distances [µm] between predicted and annotated landmarks. We think that all teams showed incredible performance! See prizes in 🧵below.
We are excited to learn more about your algorithm and the work of other participants during the workshop! We are very happy with the great performance of proposed solutions and believe they will enable promising future research avenues!
Just made my travel plans to @MICCAI_Society 2022 as the last thing to get done before leaving for vacations. I will attend @acrobat_2022 and hope to meet many of you in Singapore! (by the way: what is the 2022 way to CO2-compensate for flying half around the globe?)
The submission deadline for landmarks is the 19th of August. The deadline to publish a brief description of the algorithm is the 26th of August, which is also the deadline for optional code publication to be eligible for additional prizes!
The test set for the ACROBAT challenge and landmarks for the IHC WSIs have now been published on the challenge website. We are looking forward to your submissions and to learn more about your #WSIRegistration algorithms! https://t.co/PIm4HnB55d
Going home with great ideas, new friends and dreams. I hope to see many of you in the @acrobat_2022 challenge https://t.co/BZVgJE1t9g the conf was fantastic very well organized!
We hope everyone had a great conference with many interesting discussions that will advance registration, particularly WSI registration of course! #WBIR2022
😁😂 Can you come up with even better ones (pattern associations or registration algorithms)? Share yours, and also take part in the ACROBAT histopathology whole slide image registration challenge!
Our co-organizer @lesolorzanova has discovered the most peculiar pattern while annotating. Has science gone too far? Maybe we should open a second leaderboard for the most creative annotator hallucinations... 🤔

#callforpapers Our #MICCAI2022 MOVI workshop invites submissions on optical imaging and/or microscopy imaging. @MICCAI_Society
Submit your paper to https://t.co/eCQG9MZxes now! The paper submission deadline is extended to July 7, 2022, at 23:59 pm PST.
We just received our 5th submission, thanks to all the teams who have taken on this challenge so far! If you are interested, @JirkaBorovec's Github repository is a good starting point to WSI registration: https://t.co/NAG4gTbI2W - still plenty of time until the 19th of August!
